    This site is AMAZING! At first I was a little sceptical, but I've bought a few of their "deal of the day" vouchers and have had brilliant experiences so far. A few unique deals are shown on their website (www.groupon.co.uk) daily, divided up by city... and if you're a subscriber, like I am, you get emails everyday telling you about the deal for the day.     Firstly, I'll start by explaining that I originally found Groupon.co.uk after a friend sent me their referral link telling me that they offered experience days, dining vouchers and offers on products etc. Now I am never one to miss a bargain and always like to be up to date with the latest money saving websites and I had also heard this site mentioned onnthe forums of moneysaving expert.co.uk so I signed up.     www.groupon.co.uk I thought I would share with you all, the wonderful site Groupon.co.uk that I have recently come across and through which I have now enjoyed about ten amazing deals. Groupon started in 2008 in the USA and was created by Andrew Mason and is reputed to be the fastest growing company in the world!     Initially I thought that this website and its promotions were a very good idea, but I think anyone looking at the promotions needs to take a very good look at the promotions and referral commission offered by the website, and all the small print. For example 1st offer seen on this website was a dramatically reduced rate on paintball, I was excited until I read that the paintball location, in addition to the group on fees wanted an extra non refundable deposit, which made the price almost the same as the original price without the discount.     Groupon is a deal of the day coupon site , whereby users can aquire coupons with big reductions on certain services or products in their city/or town. It first started in chicago , america in 2008 and has since had an enormous growth , retailers agree to offer a big discount through groupon in the hope you will enjoy the service and return again , thats why the discounts are high , because in reality its a much cheaper alternative than mainstream advertising.     Advantages Advantages great deals usually cheaper than anywhere else, opportunites to try new things.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages restrictions , times limits, certain dates void.

    I found groupon.co.uk a few years ago , I am pleasantly pleased with their service and to date have not had a problem .I have purchased over 10 different deals so far , my most recent was a gym deal £10 for 10 sessions at my local gym, now for a gym deal this is a very reasonable price the gym is great i get to use all the facilities and the staff are very friendly but here's the catch,the gym is newly opened so hence the first 3 days access to the swimming pool,sauna and jacuzzi were all forbidden as they were being finished.     Disadvantages Disadvantages promotions are often found cheaper via other sites, rarely genuine offers

    I have used groupon several times in the last 12 months, I have had a few experiences and although the staff at groupon are great and helpful, I would say 'buyer beware'. I paid for a tattoo voucher, however when contact with the tattoo studio was made- not only were they very rude once groupon voucher was mentioned, but also the hour of tattooing paid for was apparently not long enough to do ANY tattoo...they just wanted to charge extra. Learn direct have an offer that appears often, for language courses...again this is useless. It is translations and not a course, all the stuff can be found ... more

    I tried giving no stars but it won't let me - that's all they deserve....they've given me the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I ordered a pair of touch screen gloves through Groupon on 11th Nov from Roolyn (who have been as dismal in terms of customer service – or lack of it).and received an email back from Roolyn saying that my order was confirmed and they'd e-mail me to get my full address. It's now 30th December and nothing. I've emailed Roolyn regularly and tried phoning them – number on website discountinued – and been completely ignored !. I’ve taken my complaint to Groupon ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages can be a very bad deal sometimes - beware of hidden shipping fees

    Most of the groupon deals are good value but it is better to check online before actually buying the deal. Fact : The headsets Sennheiser MX80 were advertised on Groupon for £9 (+ £3.99 delivery). They can be found on amazon.co.uk for £4.99 shipping included. 6 companies are actually selling them for under £9 shipping included. Meaning that after a supposedly massive discount by groupon, their offer is still more than twice more expensive than on amazon.
