Revlon Lip Glide Sheer Lip Gloss

Wow what a mouthful! But very worth it, this has got to be my best find in make up products for ages. I love lip-glosses but some of them can be a little too kiddie for my liking. I guess not everyone enjoys banana flavoured lip-gloss or it might just be me. I was looking for something a little more grown up, something I wouldn’t be embarrassed to take out of my handbag when I’m out on the razzle!

This is just perfect! Revlon Lip Glide Lip Gloss (breathe!) comes in sixteen mouth watering colours, but I was looking for something neutral and went for Sheerly Blossom number 7.

THE LOOK

This slimline wand is encased in a five inch long plastic pen-like holder. There is a twisting mechanism at the bottom of the wand (you twist it until some gloss appears on the applicator), and a pull off lid, which encases the applicator, which is a small round cotton tip end. The applicator has a dozen or so holes in it resembling honeycomb.

Each wand comes in different colours obviously to convey the colour, which you have chosen, they are all bright and attractive to look at.

Mine is an eye catching pink and it has the Revlon Lip Glide Lip Gloss (BREATHE) Logo in gold lettering on it with matching gold lettering around the twisting mechanism telling you how to work it.

Unfortunately there are no ingredients listed on this, so I would not be able to comment on any allergy warnings.

APPLICATION

The first thing that hit me about this lip-gloss was the incredibly wonderful smell! It was divine! Like a cherry blossom tree smell.

I followed the instructions and twisted the mechanism at the bottom of the wand until some lip gloss appeared on the applicator. A small blob appeared (maybe just a bit too much), so it’s best to be careful not to twist too much!

Applying it was a little tricky at first, as I mentioned. I think I may have twisted a little too much. It went on very smoothly, and the cotton tip of the applicator felt a little like a very soft sponge.

I have to admit to not being the most nimble fingered person in the world, but I found this very easy to use (eventually!).

THE LIP GLOSS

The actual lip-gloss was gorgeous. It wasn’t sticky like other lip glosses can be (don’t you just hate that when you put on lip gloss and your hair sticks to it!?) and I found that, as long as you don’t get too much gloss on the applicator it’s very easy to apply.

The gloss itself left my lips feeling incredibly soft and smooth and most importantly…it didn’t stick to my teeth! (not a very sexy look for a date!) I’d still say that this lip-gloss smells absolutely gorgeous! I love putting it on when I’m going out in the morning, as I think it smells really refreshing.

I’ve had loads of people compliment me on this lip gloss. I’ve had this since New Year, so it’s lasted me very well and I’m still using it at the moment. The only thing with this lip-gloss, is with time the cotton tip of the applicator becomes a bit worn with use, but I guess you would expect that anyway.

OVERALL

I really enjoy this lip gloss and although it is a tad pricey (I bought mine for £5.97 for a 1.18ml wand out of Boots), it lasts quite long, so it is well worth it.

My only complaint with this product is the one that I’ve mentioned already, is that if you twist the mechanism too much, then too much lip gloss can come out and it can be quite messy. Perhaps the twisting mechanism is a little too sensitive. In fact, I would go as far as dropping it down to four stars because of the blobbing!

I love everything about this lip gloss…. It isn’t sticky, doesn’t need touching up too often, and the finish is perfect! I would definitely buy it again. In fact I am planning to buy a few more!

Thanks for reading

XX Sarah.

I do not use Lipgloss that much anymore so on my point of view, I would have wanted to have hubby's view on it before committing to a Exceptional.. sorry, won't budge... Might smell nice and all, but might kiss like garlic...

I'm still ROFLMAO @ the picture Ciao've shown here... doesn't look much like lip gloss to me *chuckle chuckle*
