This small but perfectly formed glass bottle holds 30ml of lusciousness and is guaranteed to turn you turn you into a local celeb. At £9.99, ok, it isn’t cheap but remember girls, you get what you pay for and to be honest, this is an absolute bargain in terms of what it actually does.
So what, you say, it’s just another tinted moisturiser. Well think again, this one claims to have ‘an exclusive crystal complex illuminating formula with tinted flaw-diffusers to conceal imperfections and blend seamlessly with your own skin tone for a natural, luminous look,’ and it does exactly what it says. It also contains an SPF of 15 and is oil free but it wont leave your skin tight as if it’s about to crack.
When I first tried it, I pumped some out and spread it on the back of my hand, as you do. I was disappointed to find it looking thick and orange, ooh yuck. But wait! Don’t hit the back button just yet.
I then applied it to my face as you’re meant to. On contact with my skin it literally melted, the mixture gave a fine – medium coverage and my skin was actually luminous! Unlike the illuminator lotion, which is more shimmery, this gave a fantastic glow, almost as if I’d been airbrushed and edited with a computer. In sunlight, it was imperceptible, unlike many bases and tinted moisturisers; I looked so healthy and flawless!
My skin felt very soft to touch, which is amazing for me as I have very dry skin and anything put on it gets instantly sucked in leaving me all flaky. It wasn’t sticky, greasy or felt as if there was a film over my skin like a lot of others do, it had an almost powdery feel.
The scent is very subtle with a slight aniseed, flowery, talcy smell and brought memories of summer to mind.
This product will be great for the summer when it’s too hot to wear foundation and you don’t want to shock anyone with the au naturel look.
Available in major chemists, Superdrug, Boots etc There is only one place it’s available online at the moment and that’s the garden pharmacy. www.garden.co.uk.
Hurry! Get some now before everyone goes mad and bleeds the stocks dry!
I wrote this a couple of days ago and had to wait for Ciao to put the category in which is why you’ve seen two ops from me today. Couldn’t wait to post it!
Advantages: Great for the summer good coverage Disadvantages: Not for those with sensitive eyes.
...quite simple really for a Revlon product that has a fairly high price attached to it-but that’s not what I bought the product for-I wanted what was inside the packaging!
PRODUCT
The product claims to diffuse the light hitting your skin to even out complexion and so on, and wow it actually works! I once on my skin I then required no powder or anything on top. I did try to put powder on once but doing this completely dried out my skin and made me ... ...nose (despite the fact I have combination skin). The product also has sun protection built in it –which is great for me as I don’t want wrinkles (or any form of skin cancer for that matter).
USING THE PRODUCT
The product is dispensed via a little pump on the tube, you simply push and rather a lot of foundation comes out! I personally apply my make-up in small dots with my fingers and then blend it in, once I had way to much come out and it was ...

Advantages: Gives good even coverage and not too heavy Disadvantages: Very pricey
...It is produced by Revlon (Revlon London NW5 1TL). It comes in a frosted glass 30ml bottle which is very helpful as you can see when you are getting a bit low! This bottle is about 4.5 inches tall including the top which is a helpful pump action. It took a bit of getting used to it though as at first quite a lot came out but now I have managed to learn how to pump out just a small amount.
I usually use a moisuriser first and then apply this product. ... ...products. As I have said, I have very pale skin but the colour once applied looked very natural. The shade is use if 'Buff'. The bottle claims that 'Skinlights is an exclusive crystal complex illuminating formula with tinted flaw-diffusers which help conceal imperfections and blend seamlessly with your own skin tone for a natural, luminous look. Skin feels soft, silky and smooth all day'. There are no animal, vegetable or mineral oils. There is a ...

Advantages: brightens skin Disadvantages: very light coverage so not good for blemished skin
...costs £9 ish from all Revlon counters and is readily available in Boots. Skin lights is made by Revlon and aims to reflect light to brighten your complexion. Apparently light reflecting pigments in foundation and face cream make skin look more youthful so its supposedly good for mature skin. However Im not sure I agree with this because when its onl the skin it makes it very bright and dewy, and more people have noticed my complexion when Ive been ... ...you might not want to draw extra attention to it!
Recently I am wearing this product without heavier foundation underneath as my skin is magically clear for the first time since I can remember, It makes my skin look extremely healthy and looks fantastic on sunny days. These tints are made for brightening the complexion so if you have blemished skin that you want covering up it might be a good idea to mix the tints with a little of your regular foundation ...

Advantages: Easy to use, great effect Disadvantages: Pump can be a little messy in your make up bag
I love this tinted moisturiser- I've used it for a couple of years and I think it's fantastic. I tend to only use it in the summer though, as it works best when your skin's had a little sun. In the winter I usually need something with heavier coverage - this gives a very light glow but does even the skin tone nicely. I also use it because I have freckles and to be honest I learnt a long time ago that trying to disguise freckles just does not work! ... ...this, while also giving me the confidence to know my complexion looks smooth and even. I use 'Ivory', which I think is the lightest colour they do. It looks very natural which I love. The packaging is very nice - I love the glass bottle, which feels nice and substantial as the glass is quite thick. It costs about £10, which is fairly reasonable. I bought mine in Boots, so it is pretty easily available. One of the best things about this as a summer ...

Advantages: good shine Disadvantages: can look un-even sometimes
i have been using skin lights for many years now, and here is my oppion of it :)
What is it - skin lights is more of a tinting cream than a foundation, it is lighter and nicer to wear than foundation and feels more breathable on your skin. It is NOT just a tinted mouisturiser.
Packaging - It comes in a pinkish tube, maybe lighter or darker depending on what shade you use, with a pump action button on the top.
There is one let down and that is ... ...and when you have run out the tube is so thick you cant cut throw it to scrape the sides, like we all end up doing on them last minute rushes lol.
Applying - applying skin light is very easy to apply, because it is not as thick and heavy as normal foundation you can apply it more or less like you would a mouisturiser. You will not get that hair and chin line either, unless of course you pile far too much on :)
Oh and be carefull around your eyes ...
