RE: Model Personal Shredder V25 serial numbers. 2100900, V25* 1710030681
I bought a Rexel shredder some time ago for home usage, and have hardly used it. It has never been abused, and has always been stored sensibly. It will however be out of guarantee.
When I came to use it wouldn't work, although I could hear the motor. Since it was out of guarantee, I decided to remove the cover to see if there was anything that could be repaired. Imagine my horror when I discovered that the motor was not attached to anything. It had no fixing to any mounting. The drive shaft, almost having the appearance of a metal drill, was not engaging with the nylon cog that it is supposed to drive. The plastic collar designed to hold the drill bit onto the drive cog, was not securely attached; having originally been attached with cheap nylon screws ...
Advantages: Solid reliable value for money Disadvantages: cant shred CDs and DVDs
I had a cheap £10 shredder which broke down (I had baought it thinking why buy pay big bucks for the same thing but they are not all the same) so I replaced it with the rexl hs 80 which I should have bought in the first place because it has fantasticly powerful motor which sounds like it will run for ever.
You can hear the difference and know that it pays to spend a little bit more. At between £17.99 - £20 they are cheap too (great value for money). I comes with auto (I), forward (F) and reverse (R) for when you have a paper jam (although I cant imagine that will ever happen). I am a very please customer and would always buy a rexel shredder - I've learnt my lessen. Dont hessitate buy one yourself and save yourself a load of heartacke. ...

There's a running joke in my office (ok, with just me) that my stapler - the Rexel Centor Half Strip - is the superior piece of office equipment...and it is (and not just because our office is a bit on the dated side). It's pretty (important details first), ergonomic, takes up very little room and is pretty robust.
Appearance and Storage
Measuring in at 13cms in length or height (as it stands upright) and 4cm in largest width, it's reasonably compact - certainly shorter than the older flat bottomed staplers that most offices have. It stands nicely, meaning it can take up even less space on your desk. Due to the design, it wont fall flat when standing upright, and it is just that little bit quicker to use - on account of being able to pick it up in the position that you would begin stapling.
It comes in the following ...
