The camera was given to me in March 2008 as a retirement present. In June 2010 the lens assembly failed and was replaced for free. Just a year later it was failed again with the same fault, once again it was replaced for free. 10 months later whilst on holiday in Australia the same fault occured. This time I am expected to pay 119 euros to have the assembly, which only lasted 10 months. The fault marred my very expensive holiday. The fault is obvuisly inherrent. I would never buy another Ricoh camera. I have owned cameras as an adult for 50 years and have never had to have any of them repaired. The list includes SLRs, Compacts and digitals.
