I have been using Samsung R50 Since last six months which was bought in Germany. I have been using five different laptops in last 7 years and have never been 100% satisfied by any one of them. The problems start as soon as you begin the installation process. There is a huge guide which has all the necessary details. The instructions are pretty clear. At first, you are asked to move to the -'Software Installation guide' for network connection.
You are supposed to get the next set of instructions here, however these instructions are difficult to understand and inadequate. Some very important steps and key points are missing. Along with the printer, you get a CD which contains details about the USB installation. This make things tough as the USB details are only in the CD and thus not easily available. I bought the thinkpad R50e new from ebay, when I was looking for a replacement laptop.
Spec - Intel Celeron M 1.4Ghz, 512Mb RAM, 40Gb HDD, DVD-RW/CDRW, WIFI etc.
The first thing I noticed was the build quality, the R50e is a very sturdy machine, compared to laptops I had been looking at the week before in a well known high street computer store.
It feels great to use, the hinges are metal giving the impression of durability. Keyboard is very satisfying to use. The 15inch screen is clear and bright, with no problems what so ever.
The Celeron M processor was clocked at 1.4Ghz, it outperformed my old P4 2.4Ghz laptop in processor benchmarking tests (using SiSoft Sandra), it also is built to be easy on the battery power.
