RDC-2E is a versatile digital camera, retained many of the best features of its predecessors, including the hinged (and detachable) LCD viewfinder, a zoom lens, and an early form of "mini-movie". Once you've captured the images you want, you can input them into your PC via a PC flash memory card or by cable connection, or view them on a TV monitor (NTSC only). Then output your finished work in a variety of ways, choosing a medium that best suits your message and the hardware you have available. Monitor the action! The convenient 1.8-inch LCD monitor flips up to let you frame and compose shots with greater precision (especially important when shooting in Macro mode). Continuous mode is great for capturing fast-paced action. At one frame per second, you can capture dozens of images quickly and easily. And later you can choose the shots you want to keep using the PhotoStudio software. With the RA button, readjusting the focus or exposure before you shoot is simplified to a one-touch operation. You can check instantly what you've just shot, and play back images at your convenience. You don't have to be a professional photographer to take pictures with Ricoh's digital cameras. RDC-2E brings the quality features of Ricoh cameras to digital photography and makes it a snap to take great photos. Autofocus, auto-exposure, auto-white balance and stepped auto-exposure compensation deliver point-and-shoot image capture, ensuring balanced light and focused shots every time. With the RDC-2E, you're free to create the images you want. Document mode, specifically designed to capture printed materials, delivers exceptional sharpness. The high-quality 35 mm, f3.7 wide-angle lens consists of 6 lens elements in 6 groups. It's a lens that gives you crisp, clear images. 2MB of on-board memory lets you capture up to 41 shots in Economy mode. It's a breeze to copy the pictures from on-board memory to a removable PC flash memory card. Images can also be moved from a PC card to on-board memory. You can then transfer the pictures to a computer equipped with a PC card drive - or transfer directly from on-board memory with a connector cable. PC cards are light and only slightly larger than a credit card; they are available in different sizes.
