I have had this camera for a few years and overall have been very happy with its performance. It does however have a number of factors that stop me from claiming that it is a brilliant camera. 1. The pictures it takes lack the vibrancy of some other digital cameras. Though I have seen worse. It gets used more for functional pictures then social ones. (though it is with me most of the time and gets used often) 2. Does not handle flash photos well, many are far to white. Experience has lead me to turn it off unless absolutly necessary. 3. When I use the movie function, Files will only play on Quicktime not on Media player . 4. 8 meg of memory to little. I have added a 64mb SD card which are relatively inexpensive and is more than enough for me. There maybe an upper limit to the amount of SD memory (128mb on mine,but this may have to do with firmware version)
In it's favour is ease of battery replacement, it takes a " Fuji NP 80 " size and there is just room to squeeze it in the case with the camera (spare at hand). The battery also recharges relatively quickly (45 min--2Hrs) depending on how run down it is. Dictaphone works well. Once you have learnt what each function does and how to use the menus it really is a very user friendly device with a nice screen. It has settings for taking photos of documents though not being James Bond, I have never used them. The 3x manual zoom works well. USB to PC works well, Never had a problem downloading images to PC, though software could of put a shortcut on the desktop ! It takes a reasonable photo, looks cool and works well.

(+) Handling, quality, seems to take great pictures all by itself! That great 24mm lens (-) Sorry, but if you think the price is high, you don't understand value.
