Mountain Horse Sportive High Rider
Review of Mountain Horse Sportive High Rider by
sweetpea_sweetpea
Advantages: Comfortable & Durable
Disadvantages: None
I have been wearing Mountain Horse boots for years now including the ever popular 'Cheetah' boot.
I have always ridden in a pair of long leather boots and normally the zips have either gone on them or the stitching which is quite frankly damn annoying!
When I bought another horse about 2 years ago I decided to treat myself to a new pair of long leather boots but something which is a bit more durable and hardwearing. I dont know why I never thought ... ...boots are quite chunky.
Anyway Mountain Horse hadnt had the Sportive High Rider out for long and I had a look and went into my local saddlers to try them to see what they were like, I was smitten. They were so comortable and fitted really well, I have slim legs and normally I get a gap at the back of the boot but not with these!
Two years on and I still have the same pair I bought. Allbeit they were a bit worn but I have kept them in great condition ...

indestructible jacket
Review of Barbour Outdoor Clothing by
SASO1
Advantages: tough and waterproof
Disadvantages: not very cool
...can buy the wax from barbour outlets and some equestrian shops - it costs about £5 for a tin which will last several years - be warned you do not need to put much wax on the jacket overwaxing will make it sticky.
They are good for walking and riding and you can get them in different lengths including the one that goes down to your feet for the real outdoors in all weather person.
The only downside to them is that they are not that smart and you ...

Review of Harry Hall Ladies Faro Boots by
spottydog2
Advantages: Comfortable.
Disadvantages: Sole coming away.
...I have had some Harry Hall Faro riding boots for about 18 months now and I have round them really comfortable to ride in. I use them most of the time. Harry Hall Ladies Faro Boots.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The boots are available in brown or black, mine are black. They are constructed from waterproof leather, almost with the appearance of moleskin. The sole is vibram whatever that is, it is a thick rubber type sole offering good ... ...to wide. Harry Hall Faro Boots cost around £84 and are available on line as well as equestrian outlets. I bought mine cheaper from Ebay. I have just seen them on equestrianclearance which is a website that I look at sometimes for bargains. The boots are £71.99 on there.

The boots look good. They are leather but not shiney leather. The vibram sole unit is quite thick almost like a wellington boot sole, though it ...

Champion vs Cheap
Review of Champion Hats by
hhuk
Advantages: Stylish PAS & EN standards
Disadvantages: expensive has cheap look-a-likes
...hat and it was the champion ventair riding hat. This hat meets the EN1384 and the PAS 015 standards so this means it is classed as safe and you could wear it at riding schools etc. For £80-100 i wasn't overly impressed as i didnt think it was anything too special and didnt differ from my hat thats 1/2 the price! My hat is a 6 3/4 and the one i borrowed was a 6 7/8 but it was very very tight so if your going to purchase without trying i wouldnt! TRY ... ...apart from the champion it is nearly identical to my less than 1/2 price version. The only thing i did prefer about this hat over mine was the chin strap that was very cushioned and i really liked that. You can adjust the harness at the back of the hat as it is on a drawstring design so it does enable variations between riders. In my personal opinion it is overly priced and think you are paying for the name. I do have a champion jockey helmet so ...

Low rise drawstring Jodphurs by Harry Hall.
Review of Harry Hall Ladies Memphis Jodphurs by
spottydog2
Advantages: Quick to put on and take off.
Disadvantages: Fit not as good as others.
...jeans. Harry Hall.
* * * * * * * * Harry Hall is a well respected equestrian company. They manufacture jodphurs, jackets and riding hats. I have a hat by them and have had several pairs of jodphurs in the past. I have always found their products hard wearing, reasonably priced and smart and functional. I have bought several pairs of jodphurs from them which I have found have lasted a while and I know they always fit me. I usually buy on line for ... ...me. Harry Hall Ladies Memphis Jodphurs.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Harry Hall ladies Memphis Jodphurs are available in navy and beige. There is not a vast colour selection, but then a choice between light and dark is good enough. The jodphurs are priced at around £17.99 which is reasonable. They are designed with summer riding in mind as they are lightweight. The material is 96% cotton and 4% spandex meaning that they ...
