With all the excellent sunny weather we have been experiencing recently I thought I'd let you in on this product, I am joking about the weather of course!

This must be one of the best kept secrets on the sun cream market and I only came across it through word of mouth. Indeed you will find it very hard to buy, it used to be available only through mail-order and airport shops, but I believe larger Boots stores now sell it.

It is made in Denmark, that well known place for sun-worshippers?

The only drawback as far as I can tell is that you need to apply it at least 90 minutes before venturing under the glare of that star which occupies the centre of our solar system. It can be tricky to apply as it is absorbed into the skin quickly making it hard to tell where you have put it! Make sure you do cover up all those nooks and crannies or you may get the red stripe effect, not nice.

Once applied it absorbs so you cannot feel it and the smell is faint and not unpleasant.

Then you can forget it and enjoy your holiday, even swimming will not remove it and the protection it provides. One application will last all day.

I have used this in Lanzarote and Cyprus and have never even come close to burning, despite spending around 8 hours a day in the sun, including time swimming. In fact you could say it is too effective, I only went slightly brown, two weeks holiday (honeymoon) last year so I am looking to be slightly more well-done this time.

My skin is quite sensitive to soap but I found this had no ill effects whatsoever.

The P20 factor means you can spend 20 times longer in the sun than normal before burning, some people burn more easily than others so please be careful out there! Enjoy your holiday!

The only drawback is the price, it isn't cheap but I believe it is worth it, one 200ml bottle should easily be enough per person per week. I paid £20 for my bottle, but I have heard it retails around £18 at the moment.

QVC have started to sell it and the price on there should be very competitive, but I don't know exactly how much.

I think this would also be excellent if you have children as you don't need to worry about daubing it all over their bodies every half hour!
