Advantages: wondeful intense dark chocolate and chewy toffee Disadvantages: may be too strong for some
(should you so wish) you could eat with a spoon straight from the bowl you made it in.
I was impressed, very impressed by the Riesen. I would recommend them to anyone who, like me, loves chocolate toffees. The texture of the Riesen is chewy without being too chewy. They are a softer toffee than you would find in Toffee Poppets, in texture they are more like the chew you get with a Chomp. The Riesen are (or should it be "is"? I am not quite sure) perfect for people who love dark chocolate and toffee as these are effectively dark chocolate and toffee combined. As such they are not for people who don't like dark chocolate nor are they for people who don't like toffee.
Now as I got my Riesen for 20p that works out as 4p per sweet. To which I can only say "Bargain!" However should you not buy them at Farm Foods for the above price you ...

Purchased and been in the family home for just over a year now, It is the best kitchen appliance that we have ever purchased. It has so many features that are a brilliant everyday use. This item includes:

Light on inside and outside
It is the biggest fridge freezer we have ever had, with the freezer being around about the same size of the fridge. EVERYTHING HAS A PLACE.
It is no ordinary fridge freezer that is for sure. It comes in 2 colours silver or black ours is black and goes with our modern kitchen. It really stands out in the kitchen and astonishes everyone who sees it for the 1st time.

Riesen consists of three small rectangle portions of chocolate toffee wrapped in a thin layer of...more chocolate! Mmmmm, you might think. You can never have enough of the creamy, smooth and moorish chocolate flavour. That UK perception of how chocolate should be is perhaps the problem that leads Riesen to fail. Riesen's chocolate is neither smooth, creamy nor moorish. Riesen is made from the rather bland variety of chocolate that is more common in other parts of europe. I guess it just doesn't feel at home on a UK tongue.
Price
30p is refreshingly cheap compared to other chocolate products. Sadly this is the only exciting thing about Riesen.
Packaging
The packaging is a simple design with yellow text placed in the middle of a sea of brown. It is a good representation of the product therein - boring.
