...unlike many other parenting magazines Right Start did not waffle on about babies. Regular features included Behaviour matters (Which had my devout attention), Educational matters, Food information, Family matters, Play matters, which includes an 8 page activity pull out section, reader offers and other regular features. I really liked the in depth and factual reporting operated by this magazine, whose staff appear to have really done their homework. ... ...publication and was quite happy to discuss the prospective article with their sub editor Stella Wiseman. She was patient and thorough, and was happy to call me back for any amendments. When published in the Jan/Feb 2001 edition, I was very pleased to see that my words were not twisted in anyway. My daughter was not made out to be a monster and was portrayed in a fair light. The other children involved were also very fairly reported(One’s mum ...

Advantages: Very interesting theories Disadvantages: How much is true?
...This series focusses on the conspiracy theorists in america who believe that the world is being run by a 'shadowy elite'. Who exactly these people are changes from episode to episode, but the theories all seem to include the US government, and most of those who believe the theories are right wing Americans.
The first episode showed how the government acted against a family in the woods of Idaho where US Marshals shot a child in the back, and a mother holding a child. This all started from the FBI trying to get the father to infiltrate a right wing group, which he refused because he thought the government were part of the so called 'new world order'. I thought that the programme came across as rather one sided, without much in the way of defence for the US governments side of things. But some of the things seems pretty indefensible...

...I started watching "Have I got News for You" when I was about 12, being a young, innocent boy, I wasn't aware how funny the program actually was. Now that I've grown up a bit, I honestly think that it's the funniest show on TV. With most of the jokes coming from wither Paul Merton or Angus Deyton. I don't care if people say that it is a scripted show, I like it just the way it is. The always have some kind of celebrity or politician on and always make a fool of them. I remember once even seeing an ECO warrior on it, his name, "Swampy". He was one the the men digging underneath Manchester airport to stop them building another runway. In general the show is brilliantly put together and the jokes, well need I say more? What's more, When Angus shows us a picture and says a funny line right at the start and end, it really adds...

Advantages: Very funny and clever, supporting characters very strong as well Disadvantages: You may wish to punch Alan Patridge sometimes
...In the most recent series, Alan Partridge's luck is down. He has been kicked off his chat show and is now reduced to playing Hot Chocolate at 4am on BBC radio Norwich. His wife has left him and he is currently staying as the only customer at a holiday inn on the outskirts of Norwich.
Then matters go downhill.........
Right at the start of the series, his thoroughly unlikeable character, his inability to connect with people even on a superficial level is shown by the way he sacks all of the staff at his production company apart from his faithful PA Lynn and the office sexpot who he plans to seduce. However, even that goes wrong and she is made redundant as well.
What makes Alan Partridge STeve Coogan's best and most enduring character ( and the series very funny) is the juxtaposition of Alan's extreme arrogance and his inability to see...

I have just discovered something great that is helping me breathe at night (well Alun bought it, but I am writing about it so I can claim a bit of the credit) and is also going to help me sleep better at night even when my cold has passed. It’s a new... more
Moby’s seventh UK album might have been a shock to those who previously knew him only as a house/techno/ambient DJ. However he had given earlier indications of his capability to churn out strong rock tracks – ‘All That I Need Is To Be Loved’ and ‘What... more
