Before I begin this review, my apologies for the criteria that ciao have given me at the bottom. Bizarre choices but I had to fill them in order to publish the review. Must be the gremlins at work again.
I'm forever mislaying my mascaras, eyeliners etc, dashing to the shops to replenish them in a blind panic on a Friday for the weekend and then lo and behold I find the original one! Well you can never have enough make-up!
The choice of mascaras always makes me confused, I'm a very indecisive person so hate having so much choice, I generally buy one that is a middle of the road price.
~ Price ~
As of January 2006 this mascara cost £4.99 in Boots. I have had it before so know that it lasts a good 6 months although I do only wear it at weekends, never having the time or the inclination to apply mascara for work!

Extreme definition
Exaggerate volume and curl
Extra support (sounds like a bra!)
Extreme volume
Plus the waterproof options which I don't need as I just NEVER cry on a night out!
~ Endless Length and Lift Mascara ~
I like the packaging / holder for this mascara. It is thin at the tip of the handle and gets wider and wider towards the bottom so it stands easily on it's base.
Not surprisingly, the lid is screw top and the section that fits in to your hand isn't too thin or thick so it's easy to apply the mascara.
I have naturally jet black eyelashes so don't need a mascara for colour but they aren't naturally exceptionally long so this mascara is great for lengthening them and giving them more definition.
The 'lift' part comes with technique! As you apply it lift / push the eyelashes up with the applicator section from the root to the tip, but I'm still not overly sure that this should be part of the name or selling point of the mascara as it isn't that effective.
The major plus for me is that the mascara has an anti-clogging formula. I just hate it when mascara clogs or I can see clogged mascara on someone else's eyelashes. You just don't get it with this which means that you can also reapply it at a later stage of the day or night, although I have never had to do this.
It is also easily taken off with the old eye make-up remover so you don't get big panda eyes the next morning, unless that is, you have forgotten to remove it the night before, not the fault of Rimmel though!
I am thus far 100% satisfied with this mascara in terms of it's lengthening and anti-clogging attributes.
Not sure where the endless comes in to it. My eyelashes do have an end point and I'm sure that the mascara will come to an end eventually....perhaps the reference to endless is that it lasts all night long and there's no need to re-apply!
AGAIN, IGNORE THE SPECIFIC CRITERIA BELOW, HAVE NO IDEA WHY I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THESE FOR A MASCARA, UNLESS CIAO KNOW SOMETHING I DON'T!!
...bought it because my previous Rimmel mascara was brilliant and thought I'd have a change, but also, have one that is waterproof.
The packaging for the product looks really cool and stands out amongst the others. Its metallic light blue certainly attracts attention and makes the product look good and professional. With lid on, the shape of the bottle is round, decreasing in diameter from bottom to top. The screw-top is of a good size to hold and ... ...on the bottle is the name, volume, purpose and the fact that it is ophthalmoligically tested. This information is written in several different languages, making it a universal product.
Being called "length & lift," it says the product should "lift, lengthen and curve your lashes to the max." I have found this to be the case and am impressed with the results. However, they don't appear to last very long and reapplication is impossible. When first ...

Advantages: where do i start? Disadvantages: applying a 2nd coat is a no no
Ok, I'm not the type of girl who won't leave the house without a full face of slap. Actually i don't wear it that often but i do try and make an effort sometimes..
I have always had a fettish with Mascara. No idea why - well yes i do - i have short stubby eye lashes thats why!! I must have tried nearly 20 mascaras (my friends love my cast offs!), but this one is definitely the best. I brought it last year in boots, am a sucker for bonus advantage ... ...home realised it was brown instead of Black but thought might as well try it. Well whoa, what a brillaint mascara it is. There is of course an art of applying it, but once you've mastered that you'll be flying.
When applying less is more, so you need to make sure you take off any excess off the brush otherwise it tends to go clumpy and a bit spider looking. Once you've managed that it really does make your lashes look longer and make them curl to ...

Advantages: Cheap, nice dark black Disadvantages: Smudges, can go on clumpy if you arent careful
...spend alot of cash, and Rimmel usually have decent quality cosmetics for reasonable prices.
I was actually interested in the comb mascara, but I had a look at the comb and it was full of mascara... I wasn't confidant it would go on without clumping and smudging. So I went for the waterproof option below it, thinking it wouldnt smudge too much. The L&L mascara is in a blue tube, which has a tapered lid. The text is in white and is in 4 other langages.
... ...shape and size. It does, however, appear to be "doubled" in its tufts - it is quite full. As a result, i find it holds alot of mascara. This can be good and bad, depending on how you apply. It can go one just once and look ok, or you can add layers and get it thick and dark. Be careful, it can go clumpy quite easily.
However... it does takes a while to set. So if you blink, you can get black (or brown) stuff everywhere. My other gripe with this ...

Advantages: inexpensive, nice packaging Disadvantages: too thick, smudges, clumps
having been a huge rimmel user in my teenage years (many years ago now!) i moved on to other brands as i got older, however with the huge ad campaign involving the lovly kate moss i decided to come back to rimmel and see how its developed. LOTS of the other rimmel cosmetics such as pencil, glosses etc are great so how have they got it sooo wrong with this mascara!??
good points first (theres not many but there are some!)
the bottle says jet black ... ...itself has a great shape with the end that holds the wand being thin and slightly tapered which means its really easy to hold. Its really waterproof so no problems there.
bad points - its just so thick! even if you scrape the excess off it will still go on the eylashes really thick and clumpy and uneven.
i think this also has something to do with the wand as comparing it to others the bristles seem very short.
avoid a second coat if possible! ...

Clumpy but funky Review ofRimmel Endless Length & Liftby

Advantages: Makes eyes really stand out Disadvantages: clumps quite a lot
I've always had a problem with mascaras I can never get a perfect one!!
If they curl nicely they're clumply or not waterproof!
And vice versa.
So I've tried nearly every mascara boots sell, but ages ago now I saw a new one.
Rimmel's Endless lenghth and lift mascara. It had nice packaging and came in three colours. Black, Brown/Black and brown! (basic)
I chose black and paid for it £3.49 in total. I got home and tried it out. I won't describe ... ...quite difficult to apply though as it had a large head so you couldn't get it to all of the lashes. It looked nice though. There were a few clumps but overall it looked good. It makes your lashes look so long but if you apply to much you get spider lashes and they stick together. It has a nice curl aswell. The clumps are easily removed, with your finger or a tissue.
Another bad thing about this mascara is that it is not waterproof or smudge proof. ...
