You simply apply the concealer on any skin imperfections you may have such as dark circles under the eyes, skin redness or spots. Absolutely anything you are conscious of, simply cover it up. Still confused? Well here's a little simple guide to help you.
1) Taking the concealer stick, simply find your imperfections and draw over them with it. If it's a spot, glide the stick over it. If it's a redness patch, colour over it with it.
2) Next just rub in the patch of concealer using your finger.
3) When you are happy that the concealer has been rubbed in over your less than perfect bits, apply your foundation as normal.
After following those steps you should notice that your skin looks nicer and more 'perfect' than usual.
*** My opinion ***
I've been using this concealer for eight years now and I've yet to find a product that beats the effectiveness of this handy little stick.
I more often than not find myself with red patches and occasionally little spots on my face. I have no idea what causes them but they really aren't a good look. By using foundation by itself, it just didn't seem to cover them up completely, which always left me feeling conscious about my appearance when I was out and about. After discovering this however that all changed.
Now when I first apply this, it doesn't always look like my imperfections are covered up. It sometimes isn't until I have the foundation on that I realise what a difference it has made. So if you have the same problem don't worry, just apply your foundation and see if it makes a difference.
Actually applying it as I said earlier, is really easy and I've never had any problems with blending it in. I sometimes just put it all over my face instead of just on my imperfections. How you actually put it on is up to you, but I'd advise starting with just your imperfections and then if it makes you feel more confident like it does with me, apply it all over the face. Obviously if you have dry skin it will stick to it and more than likely show up worse when the foundation is on. So it's advised to repair the dry skin before putting this over it.
Results wise I couldn't be happier. All my red patches are covered up and my skin tone actually looks even all over. You can still see where spots are depending on how big they are etc, but it still covers them up dramatically. I feel a lot more confident and I find it also provides a good base for my foundation to just glide on. My foundation generally stays on longer when i have concealer on than when I don't. Another great use for concealer is to put it on under eyeshadow and that helps keep it on longer, especially if it's powder eyeshadow.
I really couldn't recommend this enough and at around 2.99 you really can't go wrong. I find it usually lasts me a month depending on how much I use so to me that is a good price for something that lasts that long.
The sticks are also stocked in quite a few shops, supermarkets and chemists so you should easily be able to pick yourself one up. I bought mine at Tesco but I know you can also buy them from boots, superdrug and lloyds pharmacy to name a few. Prices will vary depending on where you shop so look around for the best deal.
Advantages: Can reduce redness and some discolouration on skin Disadvantages: has a hard time concealing bad spots, big blemishes and dark circles
Rimmel is always a big name in beauty so I did expect a lot from this concealer, but although it works well for some things there are bits that I wasn't too impressed with.
***What it Claims to do***
On the lid Rimmel state that this concealer can "effectively conceal spots, blemishes and under-eye circles". On the Rimmel website they also say that the concealer is "A creamy concealer stick that blends to camouflage dark circles and blemishes. ... ...shades only, I have mine in Ivory.
***Can it cover Spots?***
It can lighten the colour of your spots and make them less noticable but doesn't conceal them completely. Because it's so creamy, the concealer can be easily rubbed off when applied with other make-up such as foundation so always but your concealer on after you've applied your base. Don't get high hopes that this will cover that big red spot that appeared over night, it will only reduce ...

Advantages: good coverage, easy to apply, long lasting Disadvantages: thick product not good for delicate skin
I bought this foundation following a recomendation from a friend, as i was looking for something to cover up any dark areas under my eyes to make myself look more awake and fresh.
The product cost around £4 from Tesco, which seemed like a fair price as it does last quite a long time. (obviously depending on what you use it for) It comes in a stick with the same kind of design as a lip balm stick. The tube itself if mostly ivory, with a black base. ... ...for carrying around in a handbag or purse for top-ups.
I bought the lightest shade, to combat my dark areas an found that it provided good coverage, was a nice shade and really provided the effect that I was looking for. I use it sometimes on my undereye area underneath foundation and was pleased to find that it went well underneath the foundation and provided a nice surface to work with other make up on.
As i mentioned before, I did find the product ...

Rimmel - hide the blemish
I first discovered this product many moons ago in my school days when spots were a huge pain in the backside (blimming puberty eh?)
All my friends had it, so I persuded my mum to buy me one, which thankfully she did and I still use it to this day.
The product comes in the same packaging as a standard lipstick, cover over the top of the twist up/down stick, the top cover is beige with the ... ...Blemish written vertically.
It also gives you information I quote "Effectively conceals spots, blemishes and under eye circles. and Dermatologically tested" - and it actually does this!!
How to Use:
I tend to use this before application of make-up, i.e. blusher, I simply roll the stick up apply onto the area I want covered, you can add as little or as much as you like, depending on the size of the dreaded zit and gently rub it in with your fingertips.

Advantages: Covers blemishes and spots very well. Also very compact. Disadvantages: Could potentially cause premature aging around the eye area and drags the skin.
I was given this Rimmel Hide The Blemish concealer by my mum because she had purchased it from Boots and it came out a bit pale on her skin. I have quite fair skin but I still find it quite pale. I use it along with my normal Boots No7 concealer in a darker colour because you get a more natural look if you use the two shades together. The lighter (Rimmel) one is good for dark circles and for highlighting the light areas around your eyes because these ... ...face. I then use it again as a base to prevent shine on general spots and blemishes around my chin and forehead etc, but then have to put a bit of my No7 on on top just to make the colour a bit darker. It's very compact and portable in it's little lip stick shaped stick and although the lid doesn't screw off (it just pops off), it's still very secure and will survive being knocked around in your bag all day. Price wise, it's quite reasonable at about ...

Advantages: hides circles Disadvantages: makes dry skin worse
...completely honest. **The brand** Rimmel is quite a cheap make up brand which i don't have very much of apart from the odd bottle of nail polish and this. I tend to think of it as old fashioned for the reason that it is the brand my mum usually uses. According to the boots website this comes in four different shades but i have seen more. The packaging for this is the same shape and size of a lipstick tube and it costs around £3.90 which is cheap for ... ...under my eyes and hides the dark circles BUT i tend to have dry skin so if i want to cover anything else it just makes it worse. One of these lasts me quite a long time but i suppose it depends on how much you want to cover up and how often you use it. Overall this isn't my favourite concealer but it is fine for the price and i think it will work on people better who do not have dry skin. Dooyoo and ciao xx ...

The best way to cover spots naturally is to choose a concealer a couple of shades lighter than your skin. This will counteract any redness (‘RimmelHide The Blemish’ is pretty good).
Apply concealer on spots AFTER foundation- use a cotton bud or small brush. Only put the concealer on the actual spot. Use your finger to gently remove any excess concealer till it looks ok.
If you are getting a lot of spots and they’re not disappearing till a long time then you should visit your doctor. I found out I had acne and a course of antibiotics sorted out my skin and it is now (four years on) still
spot free.
