I've never really bought Rimmel products before, as I'd always thought them to be cheap and something you'd find in the £1 shop.
There were about 6 different products on a shelf, which a sigh saying that if you bought one of the products off the stand you got an extra 150 Advantage Points! I would possibly buy this again, in a different shade. I would definitely buy other products from the Rimmel range, because the value for money is great.
You can purchase this from Boots for £2.99 but I'm sure you will see it for cheaper in numerous other shops.
I'm not really a person to buy one particular brand of make up, I like a variety and I like trying everything at least once.
I was in Durham the other day on my lunch break from work. I went into Boots and I bought a meal deal for my dinner, and that was all I wanted. I feel funny if I go into a shop and don't buy something I like the look of. I might sound strange, but I feel like I've wasted my time going into the shop, if I don't come out with a little treat for myself, as you can imagine, this affects the bank balance greatly!

There were about 6 different products on a shelf, which a sigh saying that if you bought one of the products off the stand you got an extra 150 Advantage Points! With BARGAIN...BARGAIN...BARGAIN, running through my head I crouched down to have a look at the lipsticks. There wasn't anything that particularly caught my eye, but what the hell, I had to pick something!!
I picked up a Lasting Finish Lipstick, the colour I picked was called Frosted, it's number was 247.
I bought me purchases and hurried back to work, thinking about the £12 saved up on my Advantage Card and how much I was going to save it up to until I treated myself to something from the points.
The lipstick comes in a black plastic casing. It is 7cms long and 2cms wide. The lid comes approximately half way down the tub. I think the packaging looks quite cheap, and isn't really very appealing to the eye, or then again, maybe I'm a snob!
The lipstick comes in a traditional tube, with a twist up bit inside.
I tried the lipstick on my lips when I got home that night, and I didn't really like the colour. It looked a gold/brown colour when I had seen it in the shop, but it looked less nice on my lips. The coverage was good, and it did last. I think you could get away with a few light kisses before it came off. The lipstick was a bit to matt for me. I prefer something a bit glossier.
I did use the lipstick last night when I went out. I was wearing gold eye shadow, which I've already written an op about, and I wanted my lipstick to match. I didn't want to wear the lipstick by itself as I didn't like the colour very much, but I mixed it with my regular brown lipstick and they blended well together and the end result colour was very nice.
The lipstick smells very sickly sweet and made me feel a bit ill while I was sniffing it.
This lipstick was cheap. It only cost £2.99 Most lipsticks now cost between about £4-£10, so Rimmel do offer bargains. I would possibly buy this again, in a different shade. I would definitely buy other products from the Rimmel range, because the value for money is great.

Advantages: Glossy colour, easy to apply, cheap price compared to other long lasting lipsticks Disadvantages: Sticks to your teeth, doesn't last long
Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick
Shade - Dare
If only all products were as simple as ronseal, and do exactly what they say on the tin. By it’s name, Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick implies that it is long lasting. I understand that to mean that the colour will last longer on your lips than compared to regular lipsticks. Although with this lipstick, I understood a couple of parts of that sentence wrongly :-(
It’s not all bad though, so I’ll start ... ...price. The lipstick is less than £4, and the colour is glossy and bright, going on very smoothly. It also strangely seems to have a hint of a nice scent to it, although maybe that’s just my imagination.
Now on to the negatives. When I was looking for a new lipstick, I especially wanted a nice red one, and I wanted a long-lasting lipstick too. When I say red, I mean a proper red with no hints of pink or orange as they don’t match my skin tone so ...

Advantages: Nice choice of colours Disadvantages: Read review, there are a few lol
...me when I found these Rimmel Lasting Finish colour lipsticks. Now I'm not a fan of Rimmel at all. To me it's a cheap and cheerful brand and I'd never normally purchase it as for the price I'd rather add some money to it and get my preferred Max Factor or No7 or go without, its as simple as that really. However the colours she had looked pretty and the colours I liked were gorgeous and me down to the ground so I thought well its only a quid a lipstick ... ...is going to take a long time to achieve! £3.99 in Boots and other good chemists and supermarkets. ...than its rivals.
The Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick range was selling in Asda for a whopping £2.37 – still less than the ever more ridiculous £3 and over! I was impressed with the range of colours they had and feeling about twelve, I started looking at the testers and smearing the back of my hands with pinks, reds, browns and oranges. The shade I bought is called Sugar Plum (007) and it is absolutely gorgeous, a kind of purple-pink which looks ... ...Besides that though, I’m happy with it and would buy more Rimmel lipsticks in the future. ...Yes you have guessed it Rimmel doesnt have a fragrance, so the lipstick has a big thumbs up from me! :)
The packaging is simple, the lid clicks on firmly so wont come off in your make up bag. The price of this product is also very reasonable and is one of the cheapest lipsticks on the market.
Disadvantages? there are none I can`t find a single thing wrong with it. BRILLIANT! ...
