Advantages cheap, lasts longer than lipsticks
Disadvantages may melt
I use Rimmel lip liners instead of lipsticks because they last a lot longer and give a better, more defined colour.
They cost around £2.00 and you can often find them as part of special offers (eg buy 1 get 1 free etc) at places such as Superdrugs or Boots.
Rimmel Lip Liners come in a variety of colours but don't actually last that long. You may find that if they are too warm they will break very easily or melt and smudge, but I have solved this problem by keeping them in the fridge in warm weather! This helps keep the tip cool and firm which in turn makes it easier to apply.
