The last mascara that I bought from Rimmel was the `Sexy Curves`, not a bad mascara at all but I found the brush too hard to handle, the oddly shaped brush made it difficult to coat my bottom lashes.
Rimmels latest offering was ... ...vary wildly. On e Bay Rimmel Magnif`Eyes is £3.50 yet in the chemists it seems that the product is nearer the £7 mark.
My Rimmel Magnif`Eyes mascara is Extreme Black but there is also a black and a waterproof black.

Like anything the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Rimmel have given Magnif`Eyes a long wand which does aid application and to my delight there is nothing weird or wonderful about the brush. The brush is lengthy and it has straight rows of uniform firm bristles which could make life far easier.
Load the brush and the Magnif`Eyes mascara seems to be a bit on the dry side, if you compare it to the `Sexy Curves` then it is the complete opposite. As long as you give the brush a good few `wiggles around` inside of the case the brush loads sufficiently. But do not think that the difference in consistency impairs the finished effect.
I coated both top and bottom lashes, the brush works well and it is possible to access those corners easily. I always find that the chunkier brushes are hard to manage when it comes to the tiny lashes at the corners of your eyes. But one coat does not seem to be very `Eye Opening`. At least Rimmel have made sure that you can apply two coats within a short time, maybe thirty seconds later I am applying my second coat and things are on the up and up.
My top lashes look long and lustrous though there is no shine to the Rimmel Magnif`Eyes mascara at all, the lashes are looking prominent as they sit over the rest of my eye make up. The bottom lashes however still look small and pale into insignificance, the end result on the bottom lashes is not as successful as I would have liked or hoped.
The Magnif`Eyes Extreme Black mascara is not waterproof . During the course of the day the mascara held on well only creating slight smudges underneath my eyes. I find these smudges seem to appear no matter what mascara I choose to use. My top lashes stayed looking long and strong and the Rimmel Magnif`Eyes mascara certainly seems to lift the lashes well.
This mascara needs more than a lick of soap and water to remove it, I used make up remover on a pad of cotton wool and found that it was still quite tough to remove.
Rimmel Magnif`Eyes mascara has pros and cons, the long wand and firm brush work well. The mascara lifted and lengthened my top eyelashes well. On the other hand my lower lashes refused to co-operate and still looked short. I wondered if the Magnif`Eyes waterproof mascara would have been better for my lower lashes, somehow the waterproof mascara often coats the lashes far better. Overall the effect was fine, maybe not the very best that I have ever had but at least my top lashes looked good. I will carry on experimenting and see if I can perfect the art with the bottom lashes.

...in the tube, it may be slightly annoying for those who like to keep moving the wand in and out the tube or simply for those wishing to use the wand more than once.
Give the Rimmel Magnif'eyes mascara try and I think you will not be disappointed! ...

Anyway, Rimmel Magnif'eyes (see what they did there… instead of magnifies, it's magnif'EYES… get it!?... sigh…) claims to lift and extend lashes vertically by 70% - personally, I don't think this sentence even makes sense; my lashes will be lifted and extended vertically 70% more than they already are? From the horizontal position? When your eyes are normally open? I know I am being pedantic, but being a mathematician, people using vague ... ...more… but I am perfecting the geeky mathematician look at the moment!). Anyway I can honestly say that my lashes have not been 'lifted' at all… literally, I put the mascara on, and my lashes are in the same position they were originally. My lashes only appear to be extended as I have very light eyelashes, so the mascara is only coating the lashes with black rather than actually adding any length to them. Rimmel is one of my favourite brands, it's not too expensive and the quality's good. In my opinion, mascara is this brand's speciaity as they never seem to disappoint. This mascara retails at £6.99 which isn't bad, it lasts a fairly long time and makes your eyes look lovely. You can buy iy from Boots, Superdrug and many online stores too. It comes in shades black (001) and brown (002), I bought the black which is very intense and really makes your ... ...bottle with a slight curve to the lid. They also do a waterproof version which I think is excellent as even in the rain, it didn't budge an inch. The waterproof version comes in a black and blue bottle, the blue replacing the red on the normal version. The brush on this mascara is flexible and rubbery, this allows you to glide the mascara on your lashes and it doesn't tug on the lashes either. ...favourite place to buy all Rimmel products, as I bought this in their special introductory offer and paid £4.99 for it, although usually it sells at £6.99. However, their offer has finished now so I like to buy it in boots so I can get the advantage points.
The mascara comes in a pretty big black tube with a long red lid, the tube as I said is large and I personally found it a bit clunky, I like to carry my makeup around with me and I prefer a more ... ...I bought the black as I dont like brown mascaras.
APPLICATION
The difference with this mascara is the new design of brush supposed to lift lashes to make them look longer. Its quite similar to the Max Factor 'masterpiece' mascara brush in that it has more flexible plastic bristles. The wand is quite secure in the tube, its actually fairly tough to get out compared to other mascaras.

Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Mascara normally sells for £6.99 but when I bought it at Superdrug it was on offer for £4.99.
I bought it in black but it’s also available in Brown and Waterproof Black.
The tube is average height (about 15cm) and average width (about 1cm diameter). The lid is slanted on top. The colours stood out and caught my eye: Red lid and black tube with red writing on it. The tube holds 8ml of mascara.
This mascara has a special brush, ... ...normal mascara brushes are made of, I'm not sure), with spikes instead of bristles - similar to MaxFactor Masterpiece’s IFX brush but red - this is supposed to help define and separate lashes.
Application was easy. I applied it in normal way - looked straight into mirror with eyes half-shut and wriggled the brush as I brushed through the lashes to deposit maximum amount of mascara onto lashes
