THE PRODUCT.
This comes in a compact but without any sponge or brush applicator so you have to ensure you have in your possession a nice big fat blusher brush.

USING IT
Simply brush over face and body with a large cosmetic brush. I find that the best way to use it is to brush over the product a few times to ensure there is some of the powder on the brush (but don't overload) and then sweep it across your cheeks or whatever body part you want to look a bit sun kissed. It's a mistake to go over the same body part several times trying to look even browner because then you really do get the tangoed look! One sweep is quite enough because if the powder is on the brush it will transfer to your skin.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
Available from most supermarkets and chemists, his costs £4.99 for 11g, (normal compact powder size) but it does last for ages.

For a summer glow, this is a good product. It's reasonably priced and does the trick.
I tend not to use it through the day because I don't like anything on my face when it's hot, but for night wear, it does give a nice healthy glow and a bit of a shimmer. It also doubles up as a normal blusher in winter when skin is paler, and I use it over m normal tinted moisturizer or foundation.
It's easy to use, and I have found that it's best to apply where you would apply blusher. If you have a tan, then because it has a bit of a shimmer, it looks great brushed across your shoulders and back- really shimmer when the lights go down.
Good no fuss item and one which is handy to have in your make up bag for those pale moments.

**WHAT IT DOES**
This powder will give you an instant natural sun-kissed look or it can enhance your existing tan giving you a glow.
**PACKAGING**
It comes in a pearly beige/golden round container which is plastic. It is rather sturdy and durable. On the back there is a beige label giving you details of the product in black writing. On the front there is a clear see-through click ... ...writing. It also has the Rimmel London logo in white. As the lid is see-through you can see the bronzing powder which is dark beige/golden in colour. The only problem I have with this packaging is if the container is dropped or knocked hard the powder will break up into small pieces and it is very messy to clean up. Rimmel sun Shimmer compact is a face bronzer that is used to give you that just been in the sun glow. I have always used bronzing pearls in the past but opted for this product to take on holiday with me (for those first few days when everyone can see you've just arrived!) I felt more confident packing this in my luggage than the bronzing pearls which had the nightmare potential of getting loose all over my luggage.
The bronzer takes the form of ... ...that of an eyeshadow, although pretty flimsy - turns out that the lid actually came away from the bottom and the powder slightly cracked anyway!!
I found that the pot was not quite big enough to use easily with my bronzing brush, but once I'd worked out a technique, this wasn't a problem. Only a small amount of the powder was needed to achieve the tanned look, applied mainly across my cheeks, with a light dusting over the rest of my face. This did ...

Rimmel's Sun Shimmer Bronzing Compact Powder claims to be "ideal for an instant natural sun-kissed look". I'm your typical pale, pasty Scot so frequently feel the need to do something to make myself look a bit healthier. Hence my purchase of this product. It costs £4.99 for an 11g compact, is available in all the usual outlets, and is available in three shades: light, medium and dark. Application is very easy - all you need is a large cosmetic brush ... ...The product really seems to slide off the brush in a way that most compact powders don't. It's reasonably good value as well, as most bronzing products tend to be really expensive. I opted for the light shade, as I didn't want to end up looking like a tangerine, but I found that even the light shade is a bit too much for my pale skin. My hope was that the sun shimmer would make my skin shimmer with a healthy natural glow, however, my skin just ended ...

Advantages: Light to carry, smooth texture Disadvantages: hard to apply, very shimmery
At first i was quite reluctant to buy the product because shimmers seem to make you look overly and obviously tanned yet this product (when used in moderation) the packaging is easily accesable and light easy for purses and when applied looked quite natural although it did shimmer a bit much especially when you catch the light. I found it quite hard to apply this as as it wouldnt catch onto the brush i had to dig into the product using a lot as i ... ...too much.
Overall i would avoid this product if you have paler skin because this will cover the natural blush in the cheeks and make you look overly tanned and looking for a subtle matte look and at £4.38 it is very affordable and i believe you do get your moneys worth. ...

In a nice small pot, Rimmel Sun Shimmer Compact is a very good bronzer useful for all seasons. When I first bought this product I wasn't sure whether it would work as I hadn't used bronzer before, I bought it to go with some Rimmel foundation. I thought it was brilliant and I was very impressed with the outcome of it. It gave me a nice golden glow and it covered my cheeks easily. It has lasted me for three monthes and I have used it nearly everyday ... ...easy to remove, just brush your cheeks with water and cotton woll and it should come off in seconds. It alo makes your cheeks shimmer nicely and it looks natural. Money wise, it's good value. There are a few disadvantages, I brushed some on my cheek and it left a dark streak down the side of my face but it does dissapear after a while. It is also quite dusty so if it's windy out it may blow off and it won't be as noticable. To conclude, I don't think ...

We all know how diastrous fake tans can be. I know ive had my fair share of being tangoed!! But one product i can always rely on is RimmelsSunshimmer instant tan makeup.
