I use Rimmel Sun shimmerpressed powder through the day and when I saw this on the shelf in my local chemist I thought it would be worth giving it a go.

I have to say that when it comes to false tans of any sort I am a bit of a chicken – they always seem to go patchy!
I was going to start saving for some St.Topaz self tanning lotion but the price put me off and I am a cheap skate:)

This costs a meager £1.29 but you only get one wipe in the little packet! So it’s probably expensive if your going to use it often.
I can safely say I won’t be using it again and I certainly don’t recommend these stupid wipes to anyone.

The information on the packet says:

For best results cleanse exfoliate and moisturise the skin.
Remove self tanning wipe from packet – unfold and apply liberally.
Contains enough product for use on both legs and will develop over a 2 – 4 hour period.
It also says it will leave you with a NATURAL looking tan.
Will fade naturally and lasts up to 5 days.

I bought 2 as I wanted to use it on my whole body !!

Ooh woe is me!!!

I have never been so embarrassed in my life.
I used this a few weeks ago and followed the simple instructions on the packet.
After I had cleansed and exfoliated and moisturised my skin, I couldn’t wait to put this on. I wiped it all over including my face -neck - arms – legs and feet – you name it – it got wiped.

I then went to bed and had a wonderful image in my head of me and my golden NATURAL looking tan.
I thought I’d wake up looking oh so healthy and glowing.
That was my big mistake – you see – this stuff makes you go really orange and when I say orange I am not kidding.
I could literally have cried when I looked in the mirror.
I promptly dived in the shower in the hope I could make it look less obvious.
No – its not going anywhere – I looked like a big orange mess.

I also new that I was going to be laughed at – not only was I orange but I was also PATCHY.
This stuff sound come with a warning!
“You will need councelling if you use this product!!”

My friends and family really enjoyed taking the “micky” out of me for just over a week – yes it lasted about 7 days not 5 like it said on the stupid packet……

So please – if your looking for a false tan and don’t want to end up the laughing stock of your friends and family not to mention the general public(blush – cringe) then invest in a well known make.

I am now returning to my original plan. I’m gonna save and buy some St.Topaz. At least it goes brown and not orange.
