Rio UV Gel Nails Kit

Advantages: comes in one set
Disadvantages: takes a while

What an amazing piece of equipment this is, i like most people have short nails, i cant help it, i have tried getting help for it but to no avail, i bite my nails! I bought the Rio UV gel nails kit to try and help me stop with such a discusting habit but found myself just peeling off the nails after a few days anddoing the whole process over again. It takes a while to learn how to prepare your nails and apply the extension tips and smooth them in but once you get the hang of it its fairly easy. The only really hard bit is trying to do the hand you write with! The black light is also quite fun, when you've applied the gel to the nailsand put your hand under the lamp the white parts show up and it makes you look like you've got a radient tan (it did for me anyhow). This lamp comes with 100 nail tips, glue, gel, files, instruction video ...

Rio nails give good results

Advantages: Very clear user instructions, professional finish, adequate tools for the job (eg. good sanding blocks provided), long lasting strong finish
Disadvantages: Only natural tips provided, you have to get white tips separately if you want a French manicure effect, takes a long time to do (allow at least 2 hours) but worth the effort!

I bought this product a few weeks ago and have enjoyed it with very good results. The instruction manual describes what you need to do very well, and there are pictures to show you exactly what you need to do. I did not use the tips provided in the pack as I wanted white tips (not provided), but otherwise followed the instructions to the letter. The result was nails that looked really natural and have been strong enough to withstand the rigours of everyday life. The gel is odourless so has a distinct advantage over acrylics. Although the initial layout is quite expensive (I paid £49.50) there is a good supply of everything you need for fill-ins and maintenance. Worthwhile if you like doing your nails yourself, but want strong, professional results. Just remember to set aside plenty of time (2 1/2 hours is realistic). ...

Review of Rio UV Gel Nails Kit

Bye bye Manicurist - I do my nails myself now !!

Advantages: Beautiful nails at home - no need to pay expensive nail treatment
Disadvantages: Sometimes messy - takes time - needs practice to get proper hang of it

over I will get back to my manky fingers... After all I had been like that for 20 odd years ! Anyway, I didn't expect the surprise, when, on Christmas day, I opened my presents, and I found a Rio UV nail box hiding under the wrapping paper !! WOW my husband had had such a clever idea ! Now I would be able to enjoy having nice hands without having to end up broke every month. Mind you when I am already broke and I need a bit of pampering, he is the one who ends up paying for me...( Love you honey x ) So I guess he did himself a favour by getting that present for me. Anyway, with the job I used to do then, my expensive nails didn't last for very long. A few days after Christmas, the extensions started breaking... So I decided to get them all off and get my kit out of the box. For once in my life, I actually read the instruction before ...
