My Mum saw this advertised on the Ideal World TV shopping channel and bought it for me at a bargain price of £19.99 which includes 50 Micro-Dermabrasion discs and a bottle of Aloe Vera moisturiser. She also bought me 100 replacement discs for £9.99.
It was quite a coincidence that she bought this for me whilst I was thinking of trying a new hair removal method.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: ...plugged the unit into the power adapter, put a buffer disc on the velcro and was ready to go. The first time I used it I managed to remove the hair on the calves of both legs with just one pad in less than 10 minutes. You have to wait at least 30 minutes after showering before you can use it - to allow your skin to thoroughly dry - but this was no problem as there are plenty of things to do whilst getting ready in the morning!
ME: I have naturally dark hair and the regrowth is quite coarse on my legs and underarms. I have found waxing at home unsuccessful and shaving creates a horrible stubble rash on my legs. I have been using a Philips Satin Ice Epilator for about 8 years and although I find this very good, the regrowth is still too fast. Using the epilator does mean that I have much fewer hairs to remove when they do grow back though. I must have a high tolerance to pain as I happily use my epiIator without the ice cartridge and feel absolutely no pain.

I loved the fact that it also exfoliated my legs, leaving them lovely and smooth, which saved me having to buy an exfoliating scrub! This means it is perfect for anyone who's going to use a fake tan.
There was no pain at all and I don't think this was because of my high pain tolerance! I have tried it on my underarms, where I have only ever shaved before, and found it to be just as gently. It just felt like I was sweeping a soft cotton pad across my skin.
OVERALL OPINION: The intial cost might put some people off, but I think that compared to the cost of razor blades this is a real bargain. I'm not saying I will give up shaving altogether, as sometimes there isn't always time to wait 30 mins before using the Rio.

...that only really leaves the rio presious legs.
It works by buffing off the hairs on the legs and the re-growth is much softer and less noticable. The presious legs also works as an exfoliator, i moisturise my legs daily and i am still suprised to see all the dry and dead skin that presious legs takes away. leaving them smooth and silky
the unit itself is handheld, so fairly small in size. the head of it has a velcro disc shape, which is used to ... ...easier. It is mains operated, and comes in a handy little silver carrier, so you can take it almost every where. It takes about 20 mins to do each leg at first, but the more you use it the less time it takes, i have now got it down to about 10 mins to do both. i also find that i have less hair to remove each time i do it. which has got to be good. Advantages: Pain-free Disadvantages: Fine hairs grow back a week or so
I bought this as I was fed up with the pain that you get from waxing or sugaring, and the mess (and stink!) that you get from depilatary creams and with shaving you can almost see the regrowth!
The machine works by exfoliating off the hairs, and it also leaves your legs very smooth, helped by the moisturiser that comes in the kit. You move the wand slowly anti-clockwise and you can see the hairs being rubbed off, it doesn't hurt at all and there ... ...It takes about twenty minuites or so the first time but after that the hairs are finer so it takes less time.
I find that my legs stay hair-free for about a week when they start to grow back quite finely, I only tend to need to use it every three to four weeks, but I'm not that fussy about the odd hair, as a mother with four young children I've got more pressing things to do!!

I recently bought this product and i think that it is fantastic!
It is quick and really easy to use and it doesnt hurt at all or leave you with cuts like razors do! However i would say that a big disadvantage is that the refils can be quite expensive!
I bought the precious legs kit for £14 on amazon last week yet the refill kits are £10 !
Overall i would recomend this product as it leaves your skin feeling really soft and smooth as it exfoliates your legs however i would not use it every week as it can be quite costly.
I have found that i use a razor and then touch up my legs in the week with precious legs works great for me! ...
