Pretty nails! At an affordable cost
Advantages Easy to use, step by step DVD, good instructions, loads for the money.
Disadvantages UV lamp not the most powerful
I used to love getting my nails done, at least once a month, used to get nail extensions in a French tip and it used to cost me £25 a time and they would last 2-3 weeks. After a while with two kids I decided it was money I didn't need to keep spending. i started buying the cheap stick on kits in boots and Tesco's for between £4-£7 a time and only wearing for a couple of days once or twice a month.
After a month or two of doing this I realised it was actually quite simple and easy to do. For Christmas just gone my mum gave me an Amazon voucher. I decided I would give it a at doing nail extensions myself. I used my voucher and purchased a Rio UV Lamp Nail Extension System for £39.99, I didn't get round to purchase this till the end of February.I knew it wouldn't be the best product as I was buying a cheap kit but I thought if I could make them look nice for a couple of evenings any easy damage etc I could fix myself and I could re-do them as and when I pleased at only the cost for the extra nail extensions, glue and gel etc. Hey, might as well give it a go!
When the product first arrived I was very happy with the little bundle I received for the £40 I got1 x Rio UV lamp
100 x Nail extensions
3 x Three-stage buffers
1 x Nail extension cutter
1 x Finishing wipe
1 x Acetone solution
1 x Grit file
1 x Nail primer
1 x Sanding block
1 x Cuticle oil
1 x Nail glue
1 x Hoof stick
1 x UV gel
1 x Application brush
1 x Step-by-step DVD
1 x User guide
I have now perfected my technique and am glad to say that in the last 5 months using at least once a month plus touch ups I haven't had to buy any more products, I am getting low on the glue and gel though but these can be bought cheap on eBay.
The UV lamp isn't the strongest it does take a bit longer than most others you see in salons but when your sat in the lounge in your own home your not to bothered. The UV lamp is mains operated with two power options either 9 W or 15 W. I generally tend to use the 15W.All in all for what you get I think it is well worth the money, I have now had friends asking if I can do their nails so will be ordering more glue gel and extensions and doing that. I may need a better quality UV light if I am going to be doing it a lot, but I think this kit is very good for you doing your own nails at home. With everything you need to get started at the price of £40. Bargain!
