...friends have been interviewed as Robbie has not given this book his seal of approval, it is there fore based on interviews of people who are tucked away in his past, who he has either had legal wrangles with or has simply fallen out with, So in actual fact it is if you like a book based on the opinions of those people who have no longer got anything to do with Robbie or have a negative approach towards him. The writter Paul Scott, in all fairness ... ...darker times that came when Robbie left 'take that'. It is the darker times, through Robbies drinking/drugs/rehab period that the author tends to dwell on the most, which fan or not, does make for some interesting reading.
It is a book that tries hard but is never going come close to what it aspires to be because it tends to read like archive interviews stringed together, it is second hand information and this does show in the reading.

Advantages: Good read hightlight the highs and lows throughout his career to date Disadvantages: If this was an official biography it could possibly have ended up being more in depth

Paul Scott has written this book as well as it could be written under the circumstances, he has covered relevant areas with some tact and gives an insight to Robbies early years, growing up in a one parent family, early ... ...darker times that came when Robbie left 'take that'.
It is the darker times, through Robbies drinking/drugs/rehab period that the author tends to dwell on the most, which fan or not, does make for some interesting reading.
All said and done, It is worth a read, and does explain to new fans where some of Robbies deeper lyrics may have come from. If anything it shows that Robbie Williams could have easily been another pop tragedy, and he has come ...
