Advantages has a talent

Disadvantages can be a prat sometimes

I am a fan of Robbie Williams. I am not a teenage girl who thinks he his sex on legs, as I couldn’t disagree more. I am a fan of his music, of his singing ability.

First of all I will start with the facts about Robbie Williams,

Robert Peter Williams was born on February 13th 1974 and spent his childhood years living in Stoke-on-Trent with his mum Jan and his older sister Sally.
He went to St Margaret Ward School in Stoke and used to be known as the class joker. (I wonder why)
He is a big fan of Port Vale Football Club.
He joined a local theatre group at a young age and his biggest part was playing ‘Dodger’ in Oliver.
Rob only had one job before his music career took off. He was a double glazing salesman although a very bad one. He joined Take that when he was just 16. Rob’s mum saw the advert for auditions and persuaded Rob to apply. He did and the rest is history.
Robbie became the joker of the band, always smiling and playing jokes on people. They had eight number ones and millions of fans around the world. On July 17th 1995 Robbie quit. Rob wanted more of an input to his career and decided solo work was the way in which he wanted to go.
Robbie had problems and according to his Take That contract he was not allowed to release solo singles when he left. Legal battles ensued until June 27th 1996 when Robbie gave a press conference announcing his contract with BMG was ending.
Robbie signed to ‘Chrysalis Records’

Hi first ever solo single was George Michael’s ‘Freedom’. It was released on July 29th 1996. It reached number 2 in the UK charts with the Spice Girls in front.
On April 14th 1997 he released ‘Old Before I Die’ which also reached number 2 in the charts.
In June 1997 Rob checked himself into a Drugs Rehabilitation Clinic to undergo treatment for his addiction to drugs and alcohol. After just four weeks Rob emerged looking a new man.
Rob released ‘Lazy Days’ on July 14th that entered the charts at number 8.
Robs career took off in December 1997 when he released ‘Angels’, my all time favourite song.
In January 1998 ‘Life thru a Lens’ shot back into the album chart and stayed there for well over a year. Robbie truly had arrived, signing up thousands of new fans daily.
He began to gain respect from every quarter of the music business and proved he had the ability to be the best solo artist in the country.
Millennium was his first solo number one back in September 98.
He has released three albums. I have listed them below with all the tracks.
Life Thru A Lens
Old Before I Die
Lazy Days

I have been a Robbie fan since the days of Take That. I think his first solo album was probably the best although I like all three.
I think Robbie can be a complete prat at times but I will continue to buy his records until I don’t appreciate his music anymore.
I know he isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I myself like his style.

He is no doubt a Prat but an excellent performer. I'm not personally a fan - but he knows how to make money!
