Advantages An environmentally friendly option for the garden.
Disadvantages Not stereo.
I bought this for my husband for Christmas and the gloriously sunny weekend was the perfect opportunity to put it through it's paces.
We charged the unit up from the mains and then took it out to the garden where we set it up in full sun on the grass. Finding our chosen radio station was dead simply using the A-Z search and reception was very good. The volume was great for us to listen to as we worked (painting the fence) and at one point our neighbour asked us to "turn it up" as her favourite track was playing... we didn't even need to turn it up to maximum for her to enjoy listening with us.The radio seems pretty solidly built... at one point our son knocked it over with his ball but no harm was done.
Having used it over the whole weekend it seems that so long as the battery is fully charged before you take it outside then the sun easily keeps it "topped up" so that it doesn't run out. I wouldn't expect it to stay topped up indoors but bought this purely for garden use.This was definitely a good buy.
