Roberts MP-23 (MP-Sound 23)

Having Been tempted by the bose which now has a Dab unit at over 500 pounds I thought I would give the MP-23 a look. This product is at least as good as the bose at half the price, both in looks and sound quality,
The unit looks drop dead gorgeous with blue back light and piano black shell the wafer thin remote is easy to use and navigate.

...the thing that surprised me most was the depth of the bass.
If I had one criticism I would say it is almost too Bass heavy. Although an Equaliser feature is provided (pre-sets only) this can be used to tone the bass down a fraction. Having always owned separates I expected to make a compromise in sound quality but this little monster rocks!! It is crystal clear and very punchy and the thing that surprised me most was the depth of the bass.

I stupidly paid the full £249 at John Lewis but this unit can be picked up for around £220 and at this price is a steal compared to the Bose and overall a cracking piece of kit. Highly Recommended. I cannot I'm afraid review the DAB radio as I cant pick up DAB in my village but if the FM RDS radio is any indication then Im sure the DAB is Incredible because the FM alone is the best tuner ive heard in a single box system.
