Rockford Files

Advantages: good stories, good memories
Disadvantages: may be dated for some

-team. Disk 6 James Garner Interview - wow, he is looking old now, James speaks about what he remembers from the show and the character of Jim Rockford. Stephen J Cannell interview - Stephen was co-writer for the Rockford files and he tells as bit of the history behind the show, and the initial difficulty he had selling it a studio. Overall: I really enjoyed going back in time and reminiscing with this boxset, for those that remember the show from back in the day but have not watched it recently will have memories come flooding back, the picture is sometimes damaged and it isn't the best transfer in the world but it is still a superb show and may even be the catalyst for starting a collection of 70's nostalgia purchases. Thoroughly recommended. © Review is entirely my own work but may have been cross posted elsewhere. Also ...

Review of The Rockford Files - Series 2 (Box Set) (DVD)

P.S. I Loved It!

Advantages: Lovely story, touching, emotional, good cast
Disadvantages: Bit soppy, some might not think its as good as the book

To be honest, I am not at all a fan of films which have been adapted from books, as I have yet to find one which has actually been any good. The Harry Potter films just don't have the magic of the books, The Devil Wears Prada film wasn't fab either so these films tend to be disappointing for me as I loved the books and thought the films didn't match up exactly. However, I couldn't stand the book this film is based on so I held out hope that the film might be marginally better than its book! P.S. I Love You tells us the story of Holly and Gerry, a young married couple very much in love with each other. Tragedy strikes when Gerry dies of a brain tumour and leaves Holly distraught and alone, missing her beloved Gerry. But she finds hope again in the form of letters from Gerry, from beyond the grave, guiding her and letting her know that ...

Review of P.S. I Love You (DVD)

P.S I Will Always Love You.

Advantages: Soppy romantic comedy.
Disadvantages: Not for everyone.

- Kathy Bates (um? P.S. I Love you) Daniel Connelly- Harry Connick Jnr (Will & Grace) William- Jeffery Dean Morgan (Supernatural & Grey's Anatomy) Film/Book P.S. I love you was originally a book by Cecelia Ahern, which I actually just finished last night. I know most people have read the book and either don't want to see it because they think it will wreck it and to be honest it probably will. I have a little theory. If you see a film that is about to come out and was a book previously, watch the film first! Then read the book. If the book is good enough? it'll be better than the film. If not the film was great. I myself did that? I watched the film on Saturday and finished the book last night. The book was bloody fantastic, excuse my language. I loved it. The story was so different from the film, but as ...
