too good to be true - they were rubbing away at a piece of car bodywork with sandpaper then applying the special cream and hey presto! - it was as good as new - surely a trick of the camera?!
With nothing to loose my kit duly arrived from Halfords at a not unreasonable cost of £25. On opening up the package you can't help but feel a little short changed. For such a large box there really isn't very much inside it - it's mostly packing! What you do get is:
a VHS video guide on how to use the product,
the scratch removal cream,
1500 grade wet and dry paper,
clear coat liquid,
brush,
power drill foam attachment
'Touch-up' sticks
rubbing block.

Having reviewed the No 1 in the world cdrepair tool and found out it was a flop and waste of money, I have tried a few other techniques. This review is on the Procare CD/DVD repairkit found at Maplin and possibly other stores.
~ The kit ~
You get the cdrepair too itself which is motorised, you get the adapter, cd sanding discs, cd buffing discs and cleaning fluid. It comes in a nice flat box that is easy to store after use.
~ How it works ~
This is slightly different to the worlds No1 cdrepair tool in that it appears to look like a cd walkman, you put the sanding discs in first and then put the scratchedcd in with label facing up. Close the lid, plug power in and the press the on button.
The tool will start sanding the disc to remove the scratch and will be done in three minutes, once finished take a look ...

Although he's only 2, Harry has already figured out how to operate the DVD player. He can open the drawer, put in his chosen DVD, and press play to make it come on the television. It's quite scary how quickly he picked that up actually. But since he's managed to do this, some of this favourite DVD's have gotten a bit mucky and scratched, and just don't play properly which is a pain considering how much they have cost me! I didn't want to fork out for a duplicate DVD so I had a look around the internet to find a company who repairs DVDs which is when I came across www.cd-repair.co.uk.
CD-repair.co.uk is a website which claims to be able to clean and repair any CD, DVD or Playstation/X-Box disks which are damaged and do not play properly. All you do is send them your disk, and your disk should be sent back to you in a good condition ...
