Roland TD-12KV V-Drums V-Stage Electronic V-Drum Kit

The Roland TD-12KV builds on the popular TD-12 kit by adding an additional V-Cymbal (CY-12R/C) and mount (MDY-10U), making it an amazing value that provides drummers even more... more...expressive potential.

Roland Drums... my pride and joy!

Advantages: Great authentic sounds, feels like playing real drums
Disadvantages: knowing that if you had £5000 you could get a much better one

), MIDI (IN, OUT/THRU) Power Supply = AC Adaptor (DC 9V) Current Draw =600 mA Accessories = AC Adaptor (ACI/ACB Series), Screws(M5 x12) x4 ------------------- The brain is great, and is the main part of any V-drums, as the drum pads themselves can be swapped around, added to and upgraded if so desired. I found this very useful because Roland are forever making improvments and if you have the money, you can make your drums even more responsive. Unfortunatly the TD-8 is now discontinued, as it is one of the 'in the middle' drum kits in the V drums range that has similar kits available. Other than the TD 8, a recomendable kit would be the TD 3 for a starter kit, as its brilliant and expandable. But for a real pro, the TD20 is probavly thebest kit in the business. Maybe better than the real thing? Over all... i ...

roland td3 electric drumset

Advantages: Quite a realistic kit, Good value for money, built in drum tutor, dual trigger pads for rims/bells
Disadvantages: pads wear eventually, price from roland- but im being picky, a very good kit

Last year i got to the unfortunate positive of having so many complaints from neighbours i had to sell my acoustic kit and make way for an electric one. Obviously i knew an electric kit couldn't be as realistic, however i was pleasantly surprised with the TD3. I did a lot of research into what kit to buy going to music shows, shops, reading reviews and of course the internet :) I was looking for a quite cheap kit that i could practice on and eventually expand. For the same sort of price range the main competitor was the Alesis DM5. The Dm5 feels a lot less realistic. Kind of like pressing buttons instead of hitting drums, the response felt very unrealistic and didn't seem to alter with how I hit the pads (or velocity for you music tech'ers) It also had mono pads, so you would have to have seperate pads for the centre of the snare ...

Wicked-510 TITAN E-NI or Electronic Nicotine / Cigarette

Advantages: No smell, no tar, no CO2
Disadvantages: Can be expensive at the start, refilling carts can get messy, potentially dangerous

I've tried many electronic cigarettes / inhalators on the market and in its category this in one of the best. The idea behind this sort of device is to give you an alternative to smoking tobacco products, although it is important to mention that these aren't marketed as a smoking cessation device. The Titan 510 is a three piece device made up from a battery, an atomiser and a cartridge. Since using this (and other similar ones) I have not smoked a normal cigarette for months (the first of June 2009) The batteries are either automatic (in that they activate when you draw upon it like a normal cigarette) or manual whereby you press a button to switch it on. They're often advertised with a life of about 4 hours, but I've found that half this is the case. The atomiser which sits in the middle, despite its space age name, is essentially ...
