Wonderful Book
Review of Undead and Uneasy - Mary Janice Davidson by KatieFrank

Advantages: Funny, dramatic, sexy, you won't be able to put it down!
Disadvantages: Need to read the other books too

...sixth installment in the wonderful Undead series by Mary Janice Davidson. This book follows in the gorgeous Manolo Blahniks or super-vampire heroine Elizabeth (Betsy) Taylor in the run up to her wedding to super hunk (and also undead) Erik Sinclair - king of the vampires. Of course, this being Betsy's wedding things aren't exactly going to plan. Everybody starts dissapearing! First her father and stepmother die, then one friend gets cancer and the ...
...trace and, just to put the icing on the cake Sinclair dissapears and becomes unreachable! Whatever will poor Betsy do? Even the Queen Of the Vampires shouldn't have to deal with this. I'd reccomend this book to anyone who enoys a good read. It's very funny - had me laughing out loud at times as well as having all the drama and the smut that make it a Mary Janice Davidson book. Within only a few pagesl go fram laughing to gripping the edge of your ... Read review

The Wild Road
Review of The Wild Road (Dirk & Steele) - Marjorie Liu by Lightengale

Advantages: Amazing story, incredible characters
Disadvantages: Not to be read as a standalone, you won't get the full understanding.

...Liu is just one of the best young talents around and she just gets better with every book! The Wild Road is the latest installment in the Dirk and Steele series which began incredibly well with Tiger Eye. The Wild Road is about a Gargoyle names Lannes (his brother and his plight have been covered in an earlier anthology Dark Dreamers). Lannes comes upon a woman with no name and no memory of what she has done or who she is, depsite being covered in ...
...together to figure out what the heck is going on with the woman and in the mean time, things heat up, The relationship between these two is just amazing, Lannes is such an intense man, controlled because he has to be and gentle because he wants to be. He feels such empathy with the woman and the chemistry they have is inexplicable. Marjorie has an amazing way of making you love characters and Lannes and indeed the woman (who 's name i wont reveal!) ... Read review

The house at Riverton
Review of The House At Riverton - Kate Morton by books1987

Advantages: Very good plotline
Disadvantages: None really

This is one of the best books that I have read in a long time, i'm afraid i'm going to have to revert to cliches by stating that once I started reading this book I really couldn';t put it down and I so wanted to find out why Hannah and Emmeline never speak again and I wasn't disapointed by the unveiling of the conclusion to the novel. This story flicks between two time zones as the narrator, Grace, looks back on her life as a servant at Riverton. ...
...as children, the narration follows these characters through their childhood into adulthood and Grace's friendship with Hannah. The story was intriguing throughout the whole novel and I didn;t find there to be any parts that lost my interest. The mystery is set up from the blurb on the back of the novel and therefore captivated me from the beginning as I wanted to know what the climax would be. Highly reccommended as an easy but very interesting read. ... Read review

Great romance with bite.
Review of Just Rewards - Barbara Taylor Bradford by rosieemma91

Advantages: Not a typical soppy romance, dramatic at times, suspensful.
Disadvantages: Some vividly described sex scenes which may put off some buyers.

This is the final book in the Emma Harte saga written by Barbara Taylor Bradford. Taylor Bradford was born in Leeds and by the time she was twenty years old was an editor and columnist on Fleet Street. A Woman of Substance was her first novel and she has written many others. Her books have sold more than 75 million copies worldwide in over 90 countries and have been translated in 40 languages. As a result some have been made into mini-series and ...
...not normally a fan of books like this. I am a fantasy fan through and through, and the only reason I even picked this up was because I had nothing to do and my mom said this would be the perfect distraction. And it was. The cover is attractive in a girly sense (which I suppose matches the book. I would be surprised to see a man reading Taylor Bradfords!) The photograph on the front is by Jean Francois Talivez and is accompanied very simply by the ... Read review

A Suitable Boy is a superbly well-written book, and Vikram Seth's style of writing is simple, unpresuming , but eminently readable to the last page...With the enormous number of characters that pass through Vikram Seth manages to keep the plot interesting througout..
