Girl meets Stripper
Advantages: interesting characters, chick lit Disadvantages: Jennifer is slight weak as a character
...the magic that she has lost in her later books. If you like chick lit, you will like this. It's very funny but with just enough romance not to bore you.
Though sometimes I think the book would have done better if the title was Girl meets Stripper. ...

Chick Lit at its Finest!
Advantages: Thoroughly good read Disadvantages: Nothing
...forward to her new release GLAMOUR which was due for release extremely quickly.
Louise Bagshawe does always follow the same principle of having an English girl and an American girl whose lives become connected in some way. Or very strong minded career driven women. Which is a fantastic trait for authors to adhere to.. imagine reading a book without knowing the author and being able to recognise whom wrote it because of their unique style.
The book ... ...plot:
*The Plot*
Glamour is a story about three very strong determined women. American: Sally Lassiter, English: Jane Morgan and Jordanian: Helen Yanna meet at a prestigious school and become the best of friends although being outsiders for varying reasons. They vow never to be broken. Once discovering their beauty, they then, through varying reasons become broken. Their search then to find each other is both endearing and entertaining. A vast ...

Life on a barge
Advantages: Rather funny Disadvantages: Is abit confusing at the beginning
...I was pleasantly surprised.
Going Dutch is about two women, one younger (Dora), the other Older (Joanna) trying to survive life after a long term relationship.
Dora has walked out on her fiancé just before the wedding; Joanna has been left by her husband for a younger model.
Both have run away to cope, Joanna is renting a barge from her friend Michael and invites Dora her daughters childhood friend to stay.
This book I suppose is about endings ... ...could sometimes be looked upon as blessings. By the end of the book I was glad that Phillip, Joanna's husband had left her, it gave her a chance with Marcus. I love that Marcus finally gets a second chance with Joanna.
As for Dora well her story was much less interesting for me, I don't quite understand why she hesitates with Tom. Katie Fforde does not explain why she leaves her fiancé John, so it is all a mystery. Maybe she does explain and I missed ...

In The Beginning
Advantages: n/a Disadvantages: n/a
... The Book
Garden of Shadows is a prequel to Flowers In The Attic, it details how the grandmother (Olivia) and grandfather (Malcolm) got together and how things happened to them that would inevitably change the course of the lives of the Foxworth clan for at least another three generations.
Olivia Winfield was seen as an old maid, she was tall and broad, which were seen as unfeminine in those days. When all her friends were married off she ... ...Malcolm Foxworth came into their lives, little did she know at the time he had set out to find a bride, any bride to help take care of his house and business. He also wanted a wife who was the opposite of his flighty mother who abandoned him at the age of five.
Once married and back at Foxworth Hall, Olivia began to realise that Malcolm didn't really love her. They had separate bedrooms and he never came to her at night. The first time she slept ...

Gates of Paradise - Virginia Andrews
Advantages: passionate Disadvantages: I hate it when they kill off the main character!
The first book i read by Virginia Andrews was 'Into the Garden', and i was hooked from there. I got the Casteel Family Saga for about 1.69 each from the local charity shops, and they are, in my opinion the best books i have ever read.
'Gates of Paradise' is the 4th book in a 5 part series. The writing changes point of view from Heaven to Heavens daughter, Annie. This put me off a bit, I was even upset, because after about 2 weeks of reading about ... ...shows how good Virginia Andrews is at writing. It starts when Annie is approaching her 18th birthday. Her and her cousin, Luke, dream about going to Farthinggale Manor, her great-grandfathers home where her Great-Grandmother, Jillian, Grandmother, Leigh, and mother lived. After a party at her Aunt Fannys', and maybe one too many drinks for her father, Logan, a car crash that kills both her parents and leaves her crippled, lands her in the care of ...
