Life on a barge Advantages: Rather funny Disadvantages: Is abit confusing at the beginning ...I was pleasantly surprised. Going Dutch is about two women, one younger (Dora), the other Older (Joanna) trying to survive life after a long term relationship. Dora has walked out on her fiancé just before the wedding; Joanna has been left by her husband for a younger model. Both have run away to cope, Joanna is renting a barge from her friend Michael and invites Dora her daughters childhood friend to stay. This book I suppose is about endings ... ...could sometimes be looked upon as blessings. By the end of the book I was glad that Phillip, Joanna's husband had left her, it gave her a chance with Marcus. I love that Marcus finally gets a second chance with Joanna. The first book i read by Virginia Andrews was 'Into the Garden', and i was hooked from there.
