A cracking strategy game. Features Rome: Total War, Barbarian Invasion, and Alexander Expansion Packs. The complete package for any fan of strategy games. The game incorporates different types of play - campaigns, single battles and multiplayer. The Campaign option enables the player to attempt to dominate europe, giving him/her the option to choose which faction (family) he/she wishes to be. Developing towns into cities whilst building an army and maintaining diplomatic relations makes this game more complex and varied - a more 'real life' attitude towards strategy games which is an advantage.
Single battles option gives the player the opportunity to participate in historical battles. The video shows how the battle was originally fought, and then gives you the opportunity to win the battle using your own strategy.
The battle map graphics are superb. They require a relatively high specification - lowering the detailed texture levels and antilaising however should improve frame rates for lower spec. PC's.
The expansion packs provide more campaign missions from different factions such as the Barbarians - they could be classed as seperate games if not dependant on the origianl Rome:Total war game.
