Henry the cleaner . . .

Advantages: Suction is brilliant.
Disadvantages: Looks are a little industrial.

. . . This review is on the very robust Henry Numatic model HVR 200. You will know it as soon as you see it as it has a smiley face, and comes in four colours, red green blue & yellow, well now they have added another to the range - PINK!!! Technically this one is called HETTY, but it is identical otherwise. The shape is cylindrical, but not laid down, it is upright, like an oil drum, and has a buffer ring surrounding it, which does not mark walls. It is mounted on castors, and so is easy to move about. As for the suction, I can only say it is brilliant, the cable is wound up neatly in it's own drum, all tools are there, the machine itself is light enough to be carried up the stairs, what more could you want in a cleaner? There is of course a down side, but not much of one, for instance it is not easy to vacuum the stairs as ...

Review of Numatic HVR 200 Henry

Henry

Advantages: nozzle extension to vacum hard to reach places, it requires a samll storage place
Disadvantages: Does make a lot of noise

This vacum is very powerful and is very leightweight so makes cleaning carpets and floors really easy. I can say it has a powerful suction so easily lifts dirt from carpets in a matter of seconds. Henry is small so you can easily carry it or drag it from room to room and has a nozzle extension to help suck dirt from hard to reach places. Overall a very good product and i would defiantely recommend it for daily use as it is robust. Also easy to store way as it does not require as much storage space as other vacum cleaners. It will last very long as the one used at my house was bought two years ago and is still woorking just as efficiently. ...

Review of Numatic HVR 200 Henry

The perfect portrait

Advantages: Fascinating story, evocative details, beautiful writing
Disadvantages: I didn't want it to end

"A Portrait of a Turkish Family" is an autobiographical work that tells the story of one Ottoman family from the turn of the twentieth century through the First World War and the establishment of Turkey as a republic. Irfan Orga was the eldest of three children; his mother was born into the harem - as were most women of such standing - and married at the age of thirteen. When the book opens, Irfan and his parents and younger brother live with his paternal grandparents and a host of servants. Orga describes an often idyllic childhood with warmth and humour, depicting the childlike vigour of his mother, the haughtiness of his grandmother and the kindness of the servants. One memorable episode describes a trip to the hamam (Turkish baths) with his mother and grandmother that is like a trip to the beach with the servants instructed to ...
