Fresh n Fruity
Advantages: Great taste, cheap, drinkable by most, goes with most food Disadvantages: A bit on the sweet side for some
...few very minor differences.
Tesco have also joined into the lucrative wine band wagon and have made available many different wines bearing the Tesco label. They have targeted, in most cases, the more prominent and popular types of wines and one of these includes Rose D'Anjou.
This aswell as all other Rose D'Anjou wines are produced in France. The 75cl bottle goes for just £2.99, which is a bargain of a price. The alcoholic content is a standard ... ...of you may end up wondering what hit you the next morning.
Rose D'Anjou is one of the most popular of wines and is mostly enjoyed even by those that do not normally drink wine, or occasional wine drinkers. It is, you can say, one of the most adaptable wines and very easy to drink and easy on the palate.
It's taste is a fresh and fruity one and very pleasant indeed. The colour is a dark pinkish one and it just has to be served nice and chilled. ...

BOTTOMS UP TO YOU TRAMPUS
Advantages: see op Disadvantages: see op
As some of you may know I have been challenged by Sarah, aka Trampus, to write one wine op every week, but the wines have to be bought from Bottoms Up, so here is the first one.
It is very difficult walking into a large shop like Bottoms Up and picking just one wine, this task took me about 20 mins and I came out with 2 bottles, one red and this rose.
Both were French though as I thought I would start off with France and work my way around the ... ...and as this was the only rose wine I could see in the French section I had to buy it. This rose wine is (according to the bottle) "a very popular classic Loire wine made from grapes grown in the Anjou-Saumur to the east of the muscadet region along the Loire River"
This wine also only cost £3.79 so was well within my £5 budget!
Food suggestion on the back label "Perfect summer wine, it drinks very well on its own or with a variety of starters and ...

Positively disgusting
Advantages: It contains alcohol Disadvantages: An expensive way to buy vinegar!!!!!
I finished work last week and me and my man fancied a bottle of wine. Now when I buy wine I am a fairly easy person to impress. I drink both red, white, rose, port and champagne. In fact if it has alcohol in it i am happy to give it a go and rarely find a wine I don't like.
I fancied a rose wine but found they didn't have my usual Ernest & Galio so I settled for Rose de Corbieres instead. It cost £3.99 a bottle from my local Safeway which as far ... ...the beginning that this was going to be a cheap and cheerful bottle - perfect to suit our mood.
The bottle comes in one size 75cl with an alcohol content of 13%. The bottle itself is incredibly boring in fact I only noticed it as it was next to empty space where my favourite is normally stored. It has a small white label on the top of the bottle about 5 cm by 5cm with the name, date of manufacturer (2002) and the fact its made in France. There is ...

Berry Hints From The Rhine
Advantages: great taste, just right Disadvantages: -
...where I got introduced to Black Tower. I had never had it before but my friend always drinks this and I decided to give it a go one night. Black Tower by looking at the bottle seems to be a German wine, which is not really an obvious county for wine but it doesn't mean it isn't good. The bottles of Black Tower are very distinct as unlike the other shapely, curved in bottles this one is tall and almost quite narrow at the top. It is a clear textured ... ...with the Black Tower logo in an almost Old English font. It then has a motif behind and a gold edge. It is 2008 Rose that I purchased and it says that it is from the Rhine Valley. The description on the label, to describe the hints in this wine are that it is fermented cool to capture the delicate strawberry and raspberry flavours produced by the red grapes in this area and that it should be enjoyed chilled. The bottle is 75cl and is 4 alcohol units ...

The taste of summer past...
Advantages: see review Disadvantages: see review
...wine I’m talking about is First Capes South African rose. I have been buying First Cape wines for many years now and have always enjoyed them so expected to have a positive experience with the rose. First Cape wines are from South African. They are made from grapes grown in the Western Cape to be precise, about an hours drive from Cape Town. The area is known as the Breede river valley and has idea conditions for grape growing. First Cape have been ... ...all important taste test. My first sip is very pleasant and I can detect a fruity flavour but wouldn’t have been able to tell you what fruit it was! The wine contains 12% alcohol so should be treated with respect if you don’t want a headache the next morning! Overall this wine is very easy to drink with no acidic aftertaste. It is best drunk cold with the addition of some evening sunshine! I have seen this wine in my local Tesco recently on sale ...
