This hardy herb is one of my favourites. It provides my garden with an elegant bush of tall spindly leaves smothered in sage green leaves. When it is time it is covered in beautiful small lilac flowers and to touch it, the aroma it spills are just to die for.
Rosemary is particuarly georgeous when added to lamb. I personally cut a few sprigs of Rosemary off of my plant, then take individual clusters of leaves and wash. I take my leg of lamb and make incisions all over it, then I tuck the rosemary into the incisions and cook as normal, its lovely. Rosemary is also brilliant when added to Roast Potatoes, or Roasted Carrots or Vegetables that you roast.
It is a plant that seems to survive all weathers, whether it be frost, sun or intense rain like we are getting at present. I have so far never had to keep this plant under control, with my regular cutting for culinary uses, my Rosemary plant remains compact and elegant in its space.
At times it is necessary to discard any brownish, changed colour leaves but except from this mediocre task, the Rosemary keeps itself quite happy all by itself.
This is a wonderful addition to any garden not only for its display but also for it's kitchen uses.
Rosemary is also used widely in homepathic uses and is used to alleviate a great deal of minor ailments.
If you like a garden that takes care of itself then Rosemary is for you, and if your a Cuisine Enthusiast then Rosemary is for you too.
