Wireless Linksys WRT350N
Review of Linksys Wireless-N Gigabit Router with Storage Link WRT350N - wireless router by
Dangly
Advantages: reliable, cheap for its functionality, fast, stylish, clever, easy to use, versatile
Disadvantages: none
This product is fantastic. I had no problems setting it up. Instant connection, has 1 wan port, 4 lan ports, 3 wireless aerials, and a power input. It has a massive range even through walls. My connection isnt fast enough to eve get close to the 100+ mbs this bad boy can produce. This router is awesome. Doesnt break, easy set up. Massive range, from a respected company. Wide support, and upgrade in firmware has fixed the bugs. I thought this product ... ...worried, but this blew my expectations out the window. Featuring n, g, b and a connections means it a so versatile, i can have 4 connections all on different waves. I recommend this product to anyone who wants a reliable router that can produce an amazing connection that doesnt fail you. Buy this router it is reliable, cheap for its functionality, fast, stylish, clever, easy to use, versatile. Highly recommend ...

nice idea, but faulty by design.
Review of ZyXEL Prestige 660HWP - wireless router by
ciaoRR7
Advantages: its white, which is nice, if you have macs everywhere.
Disadvantages: adsl unreliable, debvice unreliable, firmware faulty.
i bought one of these and the first thing i noticed was that the router fails the window connectivity test (upnp section). it would also drop out the adsl connection for no apparent reason wheras my netgear dg834g would never do.
i then tried a firmware update and this made no difference. the upnp just stops working completely after around 5-10 mins of operation and does not return unless you reboot the router.
later the whole router started resetting ... ...the exact same experience again.
i never got to try the homeplug av part of it. i was attracted by the £50 price tag on pc worlds website, lets just say you cannot get a 54g adsl router and homeplug for £50, coz these things are very poor indeed.
the 2 worst routers i have ever used have both been Zyxel.
why is upnp important? well if you have a ps3 or wii then you'll soon find out they dont connect properly with this pile of cack. probably xbox ...

Great long-range router
Review of Belkin N Wireless Router - wireless router by
antoniosteve
Advantages: Long signal range, ease of setup, reliability
Disadvantages: None (well, an unaesthetic setup screen)
...option pages are fairly standard Belkin affairs; easy enough to use while not looking terribly impressive - all the important functions are there, however, and clearly marked so even someone with limited experience in wireless networking can block unwanted computers or set up WPA keys, port forwarding, etc.
I'd certainly recommend this; if you've fallen foul of Belkin routers before, try this one. You might be pleasantly surprised. ...

Philips Router
Review of Philips Wireless Router SNB5600 - wireless router by
UrbanKaos
Advantages: Ease of installation
Disadvantages: Poor authentication options, downloads fail.
...all over again.
The philips support site is OK, but the search facility is useless. I had to use Google to find what I was looking for on the philips website.
Overall, a nice looking bit of kit, but for more functionality within the same price range go for a Zyxel DSL / ADSL router which has the USB wireless dongle, more authentication types and excellent wireless coverage. Additionally you get a lot more useful tools for the more proficient user ...

New Yes, Better... In a Pig's Eye
Review of BT Home Hub v2.0 by
sghawken
Advantages: It looks nice, more subtle in most surroundings
Disadvantages: Signal, reliability, compatability
When this summer BT launched their new version 2 Home Hub in stylish black the world, well BT Internet users were fairly excited. Not only was the new hub in a much desired colour, it boasted better reliability and twice the transmission distance of the original hub, to highlight this distance BT launched a new series of adverts featuring My Family actor Kris Marshall (fresh from a very nasty accident) experiencing the pain of distance separating ... ...was able to connect my BT Vision box, Desktop Computer, Bluray player, and XBOX 360 directly to the hub via the Ethernet connections, and still enjoy the wonder of the wireless to one of three laptops in the house, as well as my iPod. This joy was soon over shadowed by a very dark cloud, more on this later.
The hub features the new version of the Hub Phone, with this you can set up a separate phone line (free providing you don't make any calls) ...
