...the website is that this Acer router comes with a free PCMCIA laptop wireless card in the box so for £35 this is excellent value for money. The router is small, light and packed with features. You can add mac filtering for both wireless and wired clients, wep and features an activity log. There is an option to hide the ssid although this does not seem to work. Also it states on the box the coverage is up to 300m however sitting in the room below ...
..."low" signal strength and a connection of 2mbps on my computer which is pretty bad since the maximum should be 108mbps. I can pick up my 2 neighbours wireless lan a lot stronger than my own. I haven't received any disconnections yet whilst connecting with my 2 computers so the connection seems quite reliable. I use this to game online, ANYWHERE, simple connect the 3G dongle which has the best reception, link my DSi and I'm NEVER board again! Works with ALL Wi-Fi devices and unlike the Mi-Fi or Novotel units I can connect as many Wi-Fi devices as I like - the others are restricted to just 5!! ...so we bought the Cisco Linksys router. It was SO easy to set up. We just hooked it right into our cable modem and then reset everything. It runs like a charm, and they even have both written instructions as well as online help. We called the 1-800 number and they talked us through the set up. It was SO easy.
