My DSL-504T Review from Pesonal Experience
Review of D-Link DSL 504T - router by
nemesis2004
Advantages: Stable and Packed with Features
Disadvantages: DNS can sometimes timeout
I would recommend this router to anyone, whether it is for home or small business use. This is why…
I bought the router a good 12 months ago, as of yet, I have not been able to report any downtime what-so-ever that is due to the router. It's so easy to use - straight out of the box, plug in, enter your ISP connection settings and you're ready to go! The router has an ADSL modem built in compatible up to 8mb/s downstream and 1mb/s upstream - so it's ... ...at least! Your computer should automatically detect the settings for you since the router has standard DHCP support. If your connection should go down as a result of your ISP or the exchange, the router automatically tries to re-establish connection without any user interaction. The router comes with a very user-friendly web interface, which gives access to all the router's functions. From there you can set up DMZ, port forwarding, connections and ...

works wonders for home users
Review of D-Link DSL 502T - router by
vikasdadoo
Advantages: many: light , sleek , compact, easy to install, easy handling, good connection management, etc
Disadvantages: no power management and recovery, software still not very powerful as a tool
Hi to all!
This is yet another product I am well versed with. I have 1. Two of its units being installed to my home 2. To my office there are three of it
I have divided the review into basic parts so that you can switch over to required part very easily and can read according to your query:
1. Intended users and concerned section
2. Advantages and disadvantages
3. Technical details
Intended users
This section is primarily for the people who ... ...or not.
For home users: it is clearly a gift for home users
It requires less of initial cost and a long service plan
Once your ISP (internet service provider) agrees at a speed of about 256kbps you need not have a higher demand.
It has a minimal requirement of about 64 RAM and 1.8Ghz of speed
For office users: It is a useful and a powerful device for small offices virtually Connecting about three two five computers, crippled performance ...

nice idea, but faulty by design.
Review of ZyXEL Prestige 660HWP - wireless router by
ciaoRR7
Advantages: its white, which is nice, if you have macs everywhere.
Disadvantages: adsl unreliable, debvice unreliable, firmware faulty.
i bought one of these and the first thing i noticed was that the router fails the window connectivity test (upnp section). it would also drop out the adsl connection for no apparent reason wheras my netgear dg834g would never do.
i then tried a firmware update and this made no difference. the upnp just stops working completely after around 5-10 mins of operation and does not return unless you reboot the router.
later the whole router started resetting ... ...the exact same experience again.
i never got to try the homeplug av part of it. i was attracted by the £50 price tag on pc worlds website, lets just say you cannot get a 54g adsl router and homeplug for £50, coz these things are very poor indeed.
the 2 worst routers i have ever used have both been Zyxel.
why is upnp important? well if you have a ps3 or wii then you'll soon find out they dont connect properly with this pile of cack. probably xbox ...

Great long-range router
Review of Belkin N Wireless Router - wireless router by
antoniosteve
Advantages: Long signal range, ease of setup, reliability
Disadvantages: None (well, an unaesthetic setup screen)
...option pages are fairly standard Belkin affairs; easy enough to use while not looking terribly impressive - all the important functions are there, however, and clearly marked so even someone with limited experience in wireless networking can block unwanted computers or set up WPA keys, port forwarding, etc.
I'd certainly recommend this; if you've fallen foul of Belkin routers before, try this one. You might be pleasantly surprised. ...

Philips Router
Review of Philips Wireless Router SNB5600 - wireless router by
UrbanKaos
Advantages: Ease of installation
Disadvantages: Poor authentication options, downloads fail.
...all over again.
The philips support site is OK, but the search facility is useless. I had to use Google to find what I was looking for on the philips website.
Overall, a nice looking bit of kit, but for more functionality within the same price range go for a Zyxel DSL / ADSL router which has the USB wireless dongle, more authentication types and excellent wireless coverage. Additionally you get a lot more useful tools for the more proficient user ...
