Review of Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54GL - wireless router by spiralzskaterz

Advantages: reliable most of the time, great speed, no lag, fast connection
Disadvantages: Some Breaks...

I had gotton this router a few years ago, and i have to say, i would choose no other router than linksys. The speed is outstanding, and no lag what so ever. I used this on two computers at home, and showed no sign of slowing down what so ever. I would recomend this product to anyone who needs to put 4 or less computers on a wireless network for cheap, BUT reliable service. The tech support on these is amazing. Be aware that they do not last forever, ... Read review

Wireless manual keeps trying get me in a tangle.
Review of Linksys Wireless-G ADSL Home Gateway WAG200G - wireless router by davy246

Advantages: Connects one or more computer at a time ,wireless signal can be encrypted and its cheap
Disadvantages: Instructions lack wireless setup info and causes stress/ frustration/anger towards an innocent computer.

...last week I bought the Linksys Wireless-G ADSL Home Gateway WAG200G which is 802.11g according to the box. It was great I could have one small box to do both wired and wireless networking. I didn't know much about it but I thought how hard could it be? On the box free tech support that sounds good I thought. So I decided to give it a go. I paid £40.00 for it. When I got it home I opened it straight away and I tried using and the instructions they ...
...detail but showed no real advice on wireless. If I go out and buy something that states its WIRELESS IT SHOULD TELL ME HOW TO SET IT UP WITHOUT WIRES SO I DONT NEED TO PUT IT UNDER CARPETS AND THROUGH WALLS! Instead of a manual I had to guess exactly how it would work. So after what seemed like hours I gave up on it. The instruction manual had no useful detail and the cd was not much use for helping hints either it asked for things that I just did ... Read review

Linksys Wireless router with speed booster
Review of Linksys Wireless-G ADSL Gateway with SpeedBooster WAG54GS - wireless router by davidjp1990

Advantages: Good signal and speed, easy setup, no problems
Disadvantages: If left on it does get rather hot

I purchased my router from PC World and i got two USB Network Adapters too (model number WUSB54GS) for both my PC's, and what good vaue for money! The setup took only a few minutes and once it got going it worked perfectly, and still does today. It can fit just about anywhere and the signal stays great just about anywhere in the house. I used to be on a wired modem and there is almost no speed difference at all. I have never ever had any problems ... Read review

Linksys - Reliable, Speedy but BAD Installation
Review of Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster WRT54GS - wireless router by burns2007

Advantages: Reliable, Speed, Features
Disadvantages: Installation

Introduction ************* The linksys router is built to allow a wireless internet connection within three hundred meters by connecting to an internet connection from another computer as well as offering multiple security abilities. Not only is it meant to be able to send a wireless signal but allow for other computers near by connecting to the router through Ethernet cables. I had this wireless router bought me for Christmas by a family member ...
...not a happy bunny with linksys because I want the sort of router that I can take out the box and it will work perfectly after saying out loud “one, two, three”. Since installing the router and having all of those problems it has done a excellent job of keeping me online because all I have to do now is turn on the power at the plug and I have a reliable wireless internet connection. Design ******** The router looks very smart with its foldable antennas ... Read review

Linksys, links my systems just great.
Review of Linksys ADSL2 Gateway with 4-Port Switch AG241 - router by Smeep

Advantages: Cheap, Easy Install, Fast Connection, 4 ports
Disadvantages: Wired. Not always a disadvantage though.

...a lot of praise about Linksys routers. And the praise was true to it's word. The router packs the following statistics, which may mean more to some of you that others, but listed her for simplicities sake when you read reviews on it. Built in Modem. No need for both a router and a modem. ADSL2. You can connect up to 25 mb per second with this 4 ports. You can connect 4 PC's, Routers or other Ethernet devices to this. Wired. Means no wireless ...
...from the router though, but Linksys have a 24 hour support line. I've never had to ring it, and I'm just getting this of the box right now, so it probably isn't a free call in the UK. (It's says toll-free US calls). I'm not sure what the tech support is like, but give a little guidance from the instruction manual, you shouldn't need it. Quite simply, all you do is plug the phone line splitter in to the wall jack, the line to the router, the Ethernet ... Read review
