BRA you say?
Advantages: cheapest ADSL2+ router around; all-in-one solution Disadvantages: confusing setup
...for whatever reason.
The SMC has a simple and quick interface for setting the router up, but you can also choose to go Advanced to tinker with settings even further. This is all done by web browser, and unlike certain other models *cough* Safecom *cough* the interface will work in Opera.
PROBLEMS
Getting myself connected to the Internet wasn't as straightforward as with my old router, a Safecom something-or-other. After entering all the details ... ...I would have sent the SMC back, as quickly as it had arrived. Then maybe I'd have invested in that nice expensive wireless router...
My broadband connection occasionally cuts out after quite some use, although turning the router off and on again solves the issue. Speaking of issues, it does take quite a while for the router to connect to the Internet compared to my old one, but the connection stays up much longer.
THE VERDICT
This router is not ...

First foray in the world the wireless!
Advantages: Easy to setup, stable, flexible options Disadvantages: Hard to diagnose problems if not connected to PC
Upon moving into my new house, I was informed by landlady that I wasn't allowed to stick holes in the walls. Clutching my ADSL line and with 5 other people wanting to share it, this obviously posed a problem to my traditional solution - wired networks. Instead, I went reading through PC magazines to find a good wireless router with ADSL, and came upon this device.
On first impression, there doesn't seem to be much to it. However, looking closer, ... ...on the ADSL line and to protect your wireless network), wireless access point/router, and a 4-port Ethernet switch all in one very stylish looking box. And what's better still, is that it all works. To first set it up I plugged it all in, hooked up my ADSL line, and turned it on. To set up all your details is very simple; you just go to the correct website (generally 192.168.2.1 for those interested) and follow the set up process, which handles everything. ...

A Very Long Name For Something That Just Sits There And Works!
Advantages: Highly configurable Disadvantages: That bloody light
The Netgear Rangemax Dual-band Wireless-N Router WNDR3300 – phew, there, I’ve said it. In reality, it’s a smart gloss black and silver slab about the size of a paperback with lots of pretty lights, the more of these that flash the cleverer you are – a maxim I’ve stuck by ever since dial-up modems!. What, you mean you want more? Give me strength – it’s only a bit of computer kit, get a grip. OK, OK, here goes. My existing Linksys wireless-g router ... ...of your wi-fi transmitter) from NETGEAR to something more meaningful to you. If you don’t, there’ll no doubt be someone out there who knows that if it’s still called NETGEAR, then it’s ‘10p to a bag of horse ordure’ that its logon\password is still ‘Admin’ and ‘Password’, the upshot of which is to give a stranger access to your wi-fi encryption, or worse still, lets them hi-jack it so you can’t even use it yourself! Of course, changing the latter ...

Ciso Routers Rock!
Advantages: It comes with Customer Support phone numbers as well as online help Disadvantages: None
...so we bought the Cisco Linksys router. It was SO easy to set up. We just hooked it right into our cable modem and then reset everything. It runs like a charm, and they even have both written instructions as well as online help. We called the 1-800 number and they talked us through the set up. It was SO easy. I HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who needs additional lines for their computers! There have been absolutely NO problems with the router ...

Great Wireless Router
Advantages: Quick speeds Disadvantages: Price
I have had this wireless router for a few months now and I think that it is amazing. To be honest only one of my laptops has Wireless-N enabled but the main selling point was the number of aerials. May be stupid but I needed high coverage throughout my house and the picture coupled with the information and the reviews I read lead me to believe that despite the price this wireless router was the one that I would require. Connectivity - Within 30 minutes ... ...is TalkTalk and please note that this version of the router does come with a modem and works with ASDL but not cable so please check your type of internet connection in advance. Speed - With wireless - N I easily achieve 108mbps and even when I am using wireless B/G I still get great speeds and coverage on my laptop and not a dead spot around. Overall this is a great wireless router but before I end this review please remember to use a decent level ...
