My rover is the 1995 sd turbo diesel model. It has a huge boot - takes prams, toolboxes and pretty much whatever else you can think of. It tows anything as if it wasnt there and has 5 good seats. The interior is finished in the obilgatory fake food but everything is sensibly placed and reassuringly sturdy. ...doesnt drive or sound like the usual diesel (no bag of spanners in a tumble dryer!)
The only down side id these cars are stereotypes as elderly peoples cars - i dont know why, they are quick, economical, spacious and look quite good.

Advantages: Great car, diesel economy, reliable Disadvantages: have to hunt for competative parts away from main dealer
I have had two 418 GSD,s. First one had 90k on the clock and i moved on to my second which had 80k on the clock The main pain in the butt was the heater matrix, Got it sorted but go to an independent rad specialist and save the money to pay for the fitting!! Currently on 145k on the second, Engine leaks a few drops of oil but is manageable,The Hand lift pump diaphragm needed to be replaced, again go to a motor factor supplier and avoid the whole ...
