A couple of weekends ago I had to make a trip of some distance and wanted a little bit of luxury so I hired a Rover75 1.8se for a long weekend.
From the moment I set eyes on the car I was looking forward to the trip.

The lines of the car are very flowing and I believe the italians call the 75 "il inglese bellisimo" which i think is translated to the beautiful english,and I think the italians know a lot about style.

When you enter the car the amount of wood used is amazing they must have cut down a couple of trees to provide all that adorns the dashboard and doors.

The list of extras fitted to the car is too numerous to list but the finger tip stereo controls impressed me and the air conditioning kept me feeling fresh.

Rovers image has taken a hell of a knock lately but if they keep making cars of this quality and style im sure they will flourish as britains last volume car manufacturer

Although the car had only covered 3000 miles it was responsive and felt willing and given a few more miles under its belt would loosen up a lot more I feel.

The boot is massive and easily swallowed up my weekend luggage and with lots of room for the presents I purchased while away.

Now for the nitty gritty the car retails at £16,995 with a 3 year 60,000 mile warranty but I bet in these cut and thrust days of discounts im sure you could easily get 10per cent off.

In my 800 mile round trip the rover returned a mpg figure of 38 which is pretty good considering its not a small car.

Now all I have to do is save up £16,995 I wonder how many reviews I will have to write for that
