“Shortened Mini”

You have to be made of rubber to get into the car ...

Okay. So you take a normal mini. 10 foot long. Then you think, "What do I need all that space for?" So you lob out the front seats, pick up yer angle grinder and chop it in half. A few times. And get rid of the roof (What dya need one of those for in England?) So now you've got 4 bits of car...

Today was the day that the brand new MINI was launched in the UK, and I have already been fortunate enough to take the Cooper version for a test drive. So what's new? Well, just about everything!!! For a start there is a bold modern styling to both the interior and exterior with retro hints of...

Can be prone to rusting, not good in extreme rain

Introduction The classic mini is a car loved by millions. Small and light, cheap to run, with timeless lines, those who drive them always seem to develop a soft spot for them. Having been built the same (or very similar) for over 40 years, a new version which is notably different is being...

“The Rover Mini -side walk-”

So much fun to drive

Can be susceptible to rust in places

Even though mine does not have that big an engine (1.2), it has excellent acceleration, as it is so small and light. You can turn on a penny due to the short wheelbase. It drives like a go-kart, so it is so much fun to drive, as it has stiff suspension, and a large upright steering wheel. Inside...

Fun, cheap to run, quick

GTi drivers want to race you

Fun! Nothing can match this car for putting a smile on your face. Just go to your rover dealer and try one, you will want to buy one before the plug's pulled in September. They just skate round corners however fast you go, and will keep up with most 'warm hatches' on the straights. With the last...

small, sporty and a great laugh

impractical, limited space

A classic British sports car! Since its production in the 1960s, the mini cooper has been the benchmark for small cars for mordern day cities. It can fit into any parking space and get through any tight gap. Not only that it has been one of the top runners in 70s sports car racing. The mini...

Having passed my all important driving test in early April, I was desperate to get behind the wheel as quickly as possible. I knew I would be put on my Dad's insurance when he gets a new car....IN BLOODY JULY! So a few winks and nudges in my mom's direction (who owns a Mini Cooper!!) quickly...

An excellent drive

Could be dangerous at high speeds

I have had a Mini ever since I learnt how to drive. I am only twenty one, so haven’t been driving for years and years. A Mini would not have been my first car to start driving in. It was meant to be though. I was handed a Clubman when I passed my driving test, it was old and needed a make over...

Great looking and handles well in town

Not ideal for the open road

My Mum's first car was a Mini and so when I got mine it was with some trepardation. I know it is one of the coolest cars in the history of motoring, and yet it is still about 30 years old. Having said that it is a great car, exactly what I need. I'm a student at Sheffield University and the Mini...

the mini is my favourite car in the world.it is not very expensive but if you do it up then you could sell it for loads.it has the most character out of loads of the cars i review and i think if it is done up then it could beat a BMW 1.8 at the lights and an XR2i at speed my friend has a 2.0 16v...
