Rowenta focus that will do me

Advantages: Unusual shape for precision irioning
Disadvantages: none as yet

I took my time on deciding which iron to buy and in the end i opted for this one. The rowenta focus DZ 5020 has a very unique design which i have not seen before but i can honestly say it is brilliant, because the front of the iron is more shaped and thinner you can get into all the spots with precision where other irons cannot. It is a pleasure to use because of its soleplate it glides across all clothes with ease, it may be slightly on the heavy side but to me that isnt a issue. The first thing i noticed about this particular iron is that it has been designed to be used with normal tap water, most irons i have used before recommend that you use treated water which is a negative in my book as it means forking out more money on treated water, so this was a big plus. It states that it has been treated to german water hardness ...

Full Steam Ahead Rowenta

Advantages: Brand reputation, AirGlide soleplate
Disadvantages: Absolutely none

The Rowenta DM520 has got to be simply the best iron that I have ever owned. I paid £49.99 for it out of Curry’s a few months back, a little pricey you might say, but I can honestly admit, it is worth every single penny. This is the second Rowenta iron I’ve owned. The first lasted for 9½ years, and I’m positive would still be working today, if I my sister hadn’t knocked it off the ironing board onto the ceramic tiles on the kitchen floor. (However, I’ll give her credit where credit is due, she did buy me a replacement). However, it wasn’t a Rowenta, and it blew up after 2 months. But anyway, the thought was there, and I hate bearing grudges. Before I bought it, I did my research and checked prices etc, but I came to the conclusion that I’m better sticking to a brand that I’ve used ...

Rowenta DM825 - Ironing made easy

Advantages: Good glide, large water tank
Disadvantages: None

Having killed my last iron (I managed to melt a fleece onto the soleplate!), it was time for an upgrade. My previous iron was also a Rowenta, a model down from this one. I had always been happy with the brand, so I decided to go for the DM825. My decision was helped by a recommendation by Which Extra in their best buy guide. The DM825 Professional Luxe Steam Iron (to use its full name), is a very good all round iron. It looks modern and attractive (I've had it about 5 months now and it still looks brand new). It's not too heavy and glides really well, which is a definite advantage as I now get the ironing finished much quicker than before, and I can honestly say the results are very good. All the buttons are easy to use and it does seem to warm up to just the right temperature on each setting. The temperature 'wheel' is just ...
