Advantages Advantages High nutrition value, aids clean teeth and gums &b the cats love it.

Disadvantages Disadvantages None that I have found.

Given that most cat food smells gross before consumption and even worse after consumption I was more than pleased to be given a sample of a dry food that was supposes to do neither when I first bought a Maine Coon cat. First I must tell you that the cat food reviewed here is Royal Canin Maine Coon 31, which is one of fourteen varieties that make up the Royal Canin feline nutrition range. This range has been specifically tailored to provide the correct nutritional requirements for three species of cat namely Siamese, Persian and Maine Coon, and also to cover foods for baby cats, kittens, indoor ... more

5 Stars Royal Canin are the best! Review with images 20/10/2007
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Complete food full of all needed nutrients - many varieties to choose from

Disadvantages Disadvantages No variation in flavour, water is essential with dry food

When I first decided to get a cat I did some research into the best diet for my cat. RECCOMMENDATIONS Online there is a lot of contradictory advice on whether to feed cats tinned / dry or complete. People try and tell you that cats need a varied diet... Royal Canin do not think this is the case - however, every now and then I will treat my cat to a little tinned food or tuna. Tinned is best for hiding tablets! My local pet shop reccommended Royal Canin above all others. They told me that it had the highest content of digestible product in it - and Royal Canin have done a lot of research into ... more

Advantages Advantages Relatively odor free and keeps well

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Seems expensive

I currently have three cats and have had two others in the time I've been feeding them with Royal Canin cat food and they've all thrived on it. I discovered Royal Canin about 4 years ago at the National Cat Show at Olympia where I purchased a small bag of the Fit variety to try out on my cats. At the time, they were on Iams dry food but they were showing signs of getting bored with it despite the different flavours available. Whenever you change your pets' food, it's always advisable to introduce the new food gradually, so this I did over a period of several days, giving them a mixture of old ... more

Advantages Advantages helps your cat look their best, contains everything needed for a healthy diet

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be pricey if you dont shop around

Like many cat owners out there I have tried many different types of both wet and dry cat food. Some my cats have liked and others they have just totally turned their noses up at. The product I will be reviewing today is Royal Canin feline nutrition. I decided to buy this product, simply because I like to know what my cats are eating, and because they are fussy eaters, so only the best will do. The food is quite expensive and can cost around £19 for a 3.5 kg bag. Although, having said that I feel that you get what you pay for, and is this instance that is a good quality cat food that hopefully ... more

Advantages Advantages Does what it says and cats like it.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't buy it in the supermarket

There is no way of avoiding the issue-my cat is rather overweight. That is, he was, until I discovered this great low calorie cat food. Not only does it supply exactly the right amount of nutriton without the calories - he simply loves it. You know how it is - you find a great food your cat likes and then a couple of weeks later they turn their nose up and refuse to eat any more. Well I have been feeding him Royal Canin's Slim 37 for two months now, without the slightest whiff of fussiness. Niw I have a slimmer cat who is quite happy and very healthy indeed. You may not think obesity in pets ... more
