AirSure money stolen... |

I sent money by AirSure about 4 months ago and the packet containing about 120Euros was opened and the money removed and then selotaped up again. It took some months to get money out of the Post Office as it was only insured for the standard £46. The post office operator had not told me about this - So I was inconvenienced, Embarrassed (sending an empty envelope to a friend), and out of pocket.
This happened again - this time 260 Euros to a different person - same MO, Birthday card sealed up with selotape after having the money removed. I find that the maximum compensation for cash is £100 - again not explained by the PO employee who saw me put the money in the card.In my opinion, this service should be investigated by the police as it is criminal.
Think twice, and then again before you use this service.

sending cash abroad is a risky business and bank transfer would be more appropriate..i do feel after the first issue I wouldnt have risked sending even more money again! x
