Royal Mail Recorded Signed For 1st / 2nd Class

Good service offered by Royal Mail. It is not a tracking service, but rather a proof of delivery for sender and reciever. Works well, rarely late, highly recommended.

Advantages: Low Price, Proof of Delivery

It is a standard postal service, and items sent using it just go in with the normal post. They are just as likely to get lost and normal items and are only insured up to £32, the same as normal letters and parcels. That aside, I have found this service to almost always deliver very quickly, often next day when posting First Class. Royal Mail recorded delivery. This has been one of my favourite ways of sending relatively important mail through the post for quite some time now. I do a lot of buying and selling on online internet auctions, and find this way of sending mail one of the most secure and reasonably priced ways of doing so. This is an area that really annoys me. Royal Mail signed for 1st / 2nd class is a rip-off. You pay more money for this service but you are still only insured for £34 pounds.(the price of 100 1st class stamps). You will get the same amount of cover if you ask for a "Proof of posting certificate", which is absolutely free and can be obtained at the post office counter when you send your item. When "signed for mail" gets lost Royal Mail have no way of telling you where your item got to before it got lost. So save your money and stop these monkeys getting rich off of your backs.

It may just be our house but parcels just don't agree with us! I have been waiting over a month for a parcel and it still hasn't come.
