The story of what happens when a you mix 3 city girls unlikely to mix under normal cirumstance, one girl is addicted to cocaine and sex, another who lacks a personality and one whom appears to have no heart. This sexy sassy novel by Faith Bleasdale, charters the turmoil of events which fling these girls together,whether they like it or not.
Clara a self acclaimed sex addict who has risen her way up the ranks to her job in the city by seducing and sleeping with her boss. Tries to end the illict relationship with her boss, when he announces he is leaving his wife to be with her, or else she faces the sack.
Ella on the outside is a highly sucessful market trader, but with the tough exterior needed to cope with the pressures of living and working in the city. Trouble starts when a new comer decides that he can't handle having a black female boss, and tries to bring her to her downfall, by discovering the secret the Ella has kept hidden, her lack of education.
Virginia, one of the secetaries, to the outsiders in the city such as Clara and Ella, Virginia the mouse lacks even the very basics to be part of their high society living, this inculdes even the most simplea outward signs of a any personality whatsoever.
When they all end up in a the pub after being sacked in a mysterious manner, the girls group together to cunningly take revenge upon the poeple who cost them their jobs. With time and frequent consumption of alchol, they find that even though they lost their job they now have an added bounus of discovering that they have a lot in common and could become the best of friends.
