A teensy disc of expensive face powder nestling in a designer-produced compact - it had to be good stuff didn't it? Unfortunately not. Generally I've been more impressed than I expected to be with this range - that much hype, in my opinion, usually equals poor quality (by the way, they are very much a UK operation - not American as someone else has stated here). This product, however, very much lives up to my original scepticism. The sleek and chic ... ...disppointing because it absolutely doesn't do what powder is supposed to do, set makeup; keep away shine etc etc. And worse, even worse it turns orange. Orange the way that cheap make-up in the 1970s used to be. In other words it's very poor quality. The little puff that comes with it is very poor quality too.

It's disppointing because it absolutely doesn't do what powder is supposed to do, set makeup; keep away shine etc etc. And worse, even worse it turns orange. Advantages: lovely silver compact with mirror, great coverage Disadvantages: quite small amount of powder, less than adequate sponge applicator, not very long lasting
I use a lot of Ruby and Millie products after receiving a gift set for Christmas a couple of years ago and becoming hooked! I buy my products from Boots (although I have to travel because my local stores do not stock them, but it is worth the drive if I have a couple of products to buy) and there is a lady on the Ruby and Millie counter who can check the products for a perfect match to your skin tone. I originally bought this product, a foundation ... ...due to pregnancy. I told the lady that I was after a great coverage to make me look like I should be - blooming! She recommended this product to mattify and help set the foundation, and to keep it there for longer. The range comes in lots of different shades from very fair right through to lovely rich brown. Although I can't comment on how good the darker shades are as I am very fair myself.
First impressions were good, it came in a lovely silver ...

...really like all of the Ruby and Millie range even though it is quite expensive.
I began using the range last year and have done ever since.
The compact powder is in quite a nice size silver compact,though upon opening you will find the size of the powder is a fair bit smaller.In it there is a small thin puff which is only usable on one side,and there is a mirror too....which i find handy for touchups.It also comes with a black tiestring bag which ... ...best colour for your skin,and for all Ruby and Millie can show you how to apply some of their other products,and advise on whats best for you.
Boots currently have extra points and good offers on the range so i always buy it at this time of year. ...
