My personal favourite is malibu with lemonade as it doesnot add any flavour to the malibu it just dilutes it. you could try malibu with coke, fruit juice such as orange or pineapple. I was introduced to Bacardi because that was what my dad drank and my first taste at home was one of disgust the way most 14 year olds react at their first taste of real alcohol. Not that my parents let me drink loads or even drank in the house much themselves, but they did believe that part of the attraction is the unknown and this was a safe way of me trying a sip at a New Year party. ...the rocks I suggest the Havana Club Reserva, however myself and my friends both agree the rum just doesn't taste the same as buying it in Cuba. Perhaps it has to do with how stores store it. The blanco should be fine, since it really isn't aged for very long, which isn't always a bad thing, depending on your tastes. If you really are daring, try a real Cuban rum and cola.
